This is one of the best (if not THE best) performances of Hey Jude. Everybody's singing is on point, everyone adds their own personality into there part. Especially Elton with the piano part and his flourishes. Beautiful, wish I could've been there
The amount of musical genius on the that one stage no word can articulate, unfortunately we will never see this level of quality musicianship again in our life time again
you don't need to be this dramatic. We have talented performers this day. And in 20 years they will do their collaboration and someone else will copy paste your comment.
What a wonderful performance! A tremendous amount of energy! Each participant is the Star, brilliant and genius! Paul is the real leader, he is excellent! Thank you for the song!🤗👏♥️💖🌹🌤️🕊️
@@recon_chizzy5268 , good morning! Glad to read your message! Yes, you are right, but I ' d like to say that Paul inspires and unites the musicians and he's the leader during the performance... Sorry, my English is not good... Thank you once more for your letter!Merry Christmas and happy New year to you! Best regards from Russia!🌲❄️♥️💖🤝🤗🙏🕊️
I am a big fan of McCartney's voice, but Elton John ...holy carp! McCartney still has an amazing high range for a man of his age. Makes me wish I could sing like him.
@Elton John i bet this is the real Elton John cause he's a total SCAMMER. Get in the sea Elton. Stop feeding celebrities cocaine all weekend then trying to have them sectioned on the Monday
All these fantastic artistes are from UK working class , just hope they remember where they come from and what pleasure they have given too millions in the world today.
What exactly does "working class" even mean? Everyone who works is working class. I have never not worked and I love Macca, Knopfler, Clapton et al. I am old and broke but my favourite musicians owe me nothing.
I cant live without the Beatles' music. They represent my era. Nothing beats them . When I am depressed a single song makes me feel good, very good. Thank you too the Beatles.
@@notbraindead7298 ok sure, so the guy who worte at lkeast 50% of their greatest hits pulls it off with several other MAJOR artists and you disrespect it. Beatle concerts lasted 20 minutes and no one could hear squat, except screaming young girls coming of age.
@@jpirard I did not say anything disrespectful of the McCartney and friends show. The times are different. The lunacy of the Beatles fans was part of the show. It's been almost 60 years and those early Beatles shows made fans for life and are still attracting new fans.
@@notbraindead7298 I dunno dude I vote down this comment too but I support the idea behind this --- the video where John makes the joke about rattling your jewelry is my personal favorite of the filmed performances, though I'm not as much of a Beatles expert as I was when I was a child.
I’d be freaking out. This masterpiece is the type of perfomance that gets on your skin and soul. You can feel it. It does something to you…it’s pure energy. That was amazing.
Everyone wants to talk about McCartney, Elton, Clapton, Knopfler, Buffet etc etc ya ya ya but no one talking about my man Ray Cooper in the percussion section. Dude is a legend.
I was working as a bartender at a pub called the Red Cow in the summer of love in Ilford Essex England when a guy came in to change the 45s on the jukebox about 2pm One of the tunes was Hey Jude From that time until 2am when the pub closed almost no other tunes were played Everyone young and old sang Hey Jude together It is a fond memory for me all these years later.
Elton John is one of the only artists who quite literally sounds just as good in concert as he does in the studio versions of his music, and he's been consistently doing that for decades. The man is an absolute musical savant of the highest order and I'm so glad that I grew up with the privilege of listening to his music.
Paul and Sting two of my favourite bass players, singers, song writers and composers on the same stage singing one of the best songs ever written? Yes!!!! Blessed to see this.
They didn't watch it, they created it. 'Helter Skelter' is the first ever heavy metal song of all times and 'tomorrow never knows 'is the first drum and bass song of all time. Helter Skelter... 1 nil Macca.... tomorrow never knows... one name Johnny Lennon
A great rendition from the times when the musicians had tons of talents, and not computers and software. I'm afraid those time will never return, we are so fortunate to be alive in these times.
@Elton John I will, when my tumultuous thoughts have calmed down I will. In the meantime, thank you for all that you are and have been. Your songs made tears that dried up the false tears of the "proverbial" crocodiles and fostered catharsis that I did not even know had to be made. ❤️
Wonderful to see such great talents: Paul McCartney, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Phil Collins et al all come together in a truly classic piece of music. Well done boys!
I'am 72 years old... this was my favorite slow dance when I was young.. kissing the girls...and so I met my wife .. still together after so many years ❤❤❤
Just wished all of the Beatles were still a live and did one gig for the whole world to see and hear. Not saying it would have cured all the worlds troubles, it would have the people in the world a bit happier knowing the Beatles were still there. Having lived through the sixties. I remember the Beatles music brough colour, peace and love into the sixties for the whole world
Boże dziękuję za to że mogłam żyć w takich czasach przy takiej muzyce słuchając tak wspaniałych piosenkarzy przy takich utworach ta epoka już nigdy iz wróci
I am so happy for these amazing performances being preserved for us younger generations, but also so sad we won’t be able to experience them by ourselves
The beautiful soul vibes that this brings about should be experienced by everyone and back in the long long past it was but now you have to pay money and only the ones that can afford it get to listen to this incredible sound. I don’t know how many times this has happened where the crowd are as many as the singers and the room basically feels like a village of Celtics enjoying their weekend but my point is people’s main joys have been taken away and the only place you can do this is in a concert. It rots my socks that village life was ever stopped. The simple joys of life are dancing and singing, I don’t think money people should have stolen such important beautiful necessity’s of life and happiness. It’s a beautiful video but everyone should get to be that happy.

This is a spectacular concert DVD with individual performances by most of the musicians you see on the stage- Music for Montserrat. right after this performance, Paul leads everybody into a joyful, rousing rendition of Kansas City.
Sorry, but it isn't. Paul performs a great version here with Clapton, Elton John, Sting etc, but don't forget that he once did it with John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Nobody - but nobody - is better than the Beatles.
Magic!!the best!!I so remember when I asked Eric Clapton if he can play the guitar at Dorking folk club??when he kindly helped me out. Happy 😁 memories love to Eric 🦋
Paul McCartney "with various artists" is a colossal understatement. Paul McCartney with the Rock Gods of our time is more like it. Note: With all those great musicians on stage, Elton John's piano penetrates the music.
@Mary I’ve been married for 32years I was 24 and she was 20. She got cancer in 2020 I was totally lost without her. She took a major hit the treatment was horrible for her. I could not do anything to change the situation so I felt helpless.. This song reminds me of her
Mega show!! Para ser mais lindo eu gostaria que o Phill Collins também tivesse cantado e não somente tocado bateria... A sua voz é lindíssima... Grandes nomes!! Verdadeiros gigantes!!
