www.PaulMcCartney.com --- On Saturday 18th April 2015 Paul McCartney inducted his friend Ringo Starr into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Here's a look behind-the-scenes from the night!
All four are in, both as The Beatles and as solo artists. Just as it should be. And inducted in the order of the band, John, Paul, George and finally, Ringo. Just as it should be.
Macca says, "Let's BOW" and Ringo knows what kind of bow he's talking about, done it a thousand times eh. That bow - y'know, in 1964 nobody in America had seen a rock 'n' roll band bow like that, it was very memorable. I tend to think Brian Epstein developed it for them. Mark Lewisohn probably knows the exact date it was first used. ;-)
@@OnePost909 you're so right! Paul initiated it and Ringo was like yeah baby. Memorable, and I think that bow was their little private tribute to Epstein and the shows that started it all.
As a Drummer I ALWAYS loved Ringo. One of the things were the sound of his snare drum. I still don't know how he got that sound but it was always a pop. He was very innovative as well. How fitting to have Paul induct him in the hall. RIP John and George! We haven't been the same without y'all!
Led Floyd are you stupid? How the fuck could you be so childish and naive to believe such a stupid theory. If you don't have anything smart to say you better stfu
Wow this faul is a super genius song writer, music virtouso and a good friend... if bill shears is as good as the "faul mcartney" he is supposed to impersonate then he is an idiot for not going on his own
Ringo is so under rated as a drummer because he was a Beatle, however he has always been one of the greatest ever. . Yes, I am a Beatle fan and always will be. My first record was a Beatle record " I want to hold your hand"
My fave when i was a teen, when i was discovering them fab four! Indeed, it was the very song's chorus melody 'i want to hold your hand' part as sung (in random) by a classmate of mine back in 6th grade in class one day that made me wanted to look it up in yt... 😅😅and never regret ever since😊
@@soundmanronwest ringo's drumming is not flashy as to intentionally stand out over the others in the band/ during the song, but his drumming just suits & complements nicely w the music... and is super creative😊😊& steady beat too👍👍👍👍
Paul's toast to Ringo, at the end of the video, says it all. Really delighted to have his Beatle 'brother' honoured at the Hall of Fame. The next person who should be honoured as a solo artist is Barry Gibb.
+ExclusiveLM I would be in heaven too if that would happen to me seriously. I m a Truck Driver and I went to NY to Manhattan where John Lennon got murdered I thought that I was going to past out, seriously and is a shame it had to be that way.
Same with Paul. Notice how he didn't and couldn't get out of the car right away after it was stopped. The big guy had to go around the car and clear it first. Proves even with money you can still be a prisoner in that way.
thats no joke be really was. he didnt need a 100 piece drum set.. he knew to keep the beat but get the set rocking on its legs. watch him play in the old movies. baker is great, pert great, watts and Bonham great great but ringo was the Beatles drummer. and it was perfect.
love them Beatles!!!! I have the most sentimental feelings for Sir Paul...he always makes me cry, but in a good way. Ringo is my mom's fave :) thanks for sharing!
This just brought tears to my eyes. Both for happiness & sadness. Such a shame John & George weren’t there to share in this. I’m so happy for Ringo. Great ending when Paul & Ringo took their famous bow at the end.
I was lucky enough to attend the Induction Ceremony at Cleveland Public Hall. What a night!!! To see Paul and Ringo onstage together was a once-in-a-lifetime event. I've been a Beatles fan for most of my life, and I will always love them!
It's funny because I always thought that George was the oldest in the band and Ringo was the youngest. And then a couple years ago I found out that it was the other way around and I became very confused.
Two Masters!!! The Beatles are My favorite Band ever! The reason why I play music! Please Paul and Ringo playing together another times!!! Thanks for everything Beatles!
Flaming Pie I don't know if you're familiar with the many videos on RU-vid where Ringo is on drums for a lot of Paul's recording - it might be the videos from the album "Flaming Pie" - definitely the song "Beautiful Night". Ringo's voice is the last thing you hear on that track. He was involved in the album "Give My Regards to Broad Street" as well.
***** gonna look for that...Ringo is not a great musician. He is a good drummer.... does a clean job....conservative drummer.. But he was a great Beatle....priceless.....irreplaceable Ringo Starr.
Renata Carone It's interesting; I watched an interview with Phil Collins about a year ago - he said that, in his opinion, Ringo Starr was an excellent drummer who could do very difficult things and make them look easy. That changed my opinion about Ringo - I'd never thought of him that way either but I figure if anyone is qualified to speak about good drummers, it's Phil Collins.
Do they have any idea how beautiful they are? It's so emotional to see Ringo and Paul performing together with all the Beatles photos in the background.
So cool! Congratulations to Ringo Starr! Rock & roll hasn't taken it's toll...still at the top & will never stop! Thank you for 50 + years of the best entertainment in musical history!
Been following them 1962 and vowed to go to every concert possible, 18 with Beatles, all solo every tour...I had no idea how long this would continue.. of course the loss of John on my bday devastated me and any hope for a r eunion but every tour or times they shared a stage I was there. At 14 I was smart enuf to realize getting my press credentials would be a smart move so I did. The fun of interviewing them for so many decades is not only free tickets its become like running into dear friends and catching up on our lives. Its been a GREAT Musical life ! The losses hurt like family losses, but we Rock On as long as they want to. Back in the early days they couldn't imagine still performing at 30, definitely NOT 40 ! So glad they decided to postpone that decision longer. A Lifetime of great music and interviews I have been So Blessed.
Love my Ringo,We love you,I must say you have a huge hand in my drum life! And I want to thank you from the bottom of my Drum Heart!,Now also a drum instructor at School of Rock , Katy Texas. Rock for ever...
I'm full of bittersweetness right now. They are great men, and I really love them and I realize how much I miss John and George. I really missed them, I don't wanna cry but I can't help it Oh God, I love them so much💔
It IS amazing how all the rock n roll stars of every era need to be close to the Beatles. They are worshiped, and that's a good thing, cause they are the Gods of Rock n' Roll. Love to Paul and Ringo and John and George. I love those guys. We will NEVER forget!!!
I love Paul so much everytime I see him on TV i start crying um so happy he was the one to inducted lovely ringo into the rock and roll hall of fame. it's about fucking time!
His speech for John's induction brought tears to my eyes. I love Paul. One of my three heroes. The other two are Barack Obama and Bill Gates (the guy who is giving away all his money to cure disease, and who put food on my table for 30 years, as a Windows IT engineer for the government.)
