I enjoyed this album. It´s a good one from Paul. I don´t understand why many people critisize this album. I hope many who does it would make a single one song of this album. Silly people. I like it. Has so many magical tunes.....

Cuando salio este disco yo debia tener 7 u 8 años y los videos de pipas de la paz y el de say say say me parecian maravillosos. Creo que a partir de eso empece a querer escuchar a los Fab 4. Este disco me recuerda esa etapa y todo lo que tenia que ver con los años 80

the late Benjamin Lo-Fi liked this, and would eat Toblerone to it for much of 1983. We are still unearthing the late Benjamin's songs, and posting them on our youtube channel here, for curious ears to hear...

Great album, what is there to be critical about this album, put alongside other 83/84 records it holds up well - great job Paul ! shortly afterwards Jacko went and bought the Beatle catalogue. I think Press to Play should of been called Fast Forward, it sounded like he had the core of a good album, but was rushed, or incomplete, it was heavily hammered in the media.

It gets a bit incongruous at the end among the bonus tracks, with the kiddies song We All Stand Together, very old fashioned with its lush orchestra arrangement and its novelty vocal sound effects, followed by the reggae-tinged, anti-hard drugs message of Simple as That! If nothing else it proves the extent of Paul's range as a singer and songwriter

I think The Man should have been released as a single too.

So Bad should have been a much bigger hit than it was here in the US. I think it barely made the Top 30.

I should have guessed you have now got one. LPs have come back big time---you should check out the figures and to think they call this the "download generation" when downloaded albums only account for less than a quarter of sales!!--it's just the media doing the PR work for the techno-geeks that want to see humans getting everything from a "smart" screen-clothes, books, music, electricity etc etc...Vinyl is a luxurious item in terms of sound & package--cd's are less cherished & are thrown around

its maybe not his strongest album but certainly not his worst either. It does have atleast 5 or 6 good songs on it.

I love Paul McCartney, but his material began to really go downhill on this album.

being a skillfull bass player and being able to write beautiful songs are two completely different things. simple as that. Jaco pastorius or stanley clarke didn't write as many great songs as paul did. And sir paul is also a very good guitarist, piano player, average drummer, and inspiration for generations of musicians worldwide.

Definitely a bit of a disappointing repeat of the Tug Of War format. After track six, you're usually into filler territory.

I do like him but there's some real codswallop on this album, especially the extra stuff like "It's As Simple As That". It's compellingly annoying, so trite and half-arsed. Typical McCartney. Still, at least he'll never be middle of the road. It's either poetic genius or piffling prattle. Possibly his best post-Beatles albums are McCartney and Chaos and Creation in the Backyard and even they have their gobbledygook moments. Happy New Year, uncle Paul!
