Lennon-McCartney,arguably the best songwriting team in the history of music. I can't fathom how monumentally crushing that was for Paul to go through. I'm sure Ringo and George were no less gutted but Paul and John were birds of a feather.

+Michael Parker He did. His former "Late night with Jonathan Ross" was a direct copy of David Letterman's format. He's aped it ever since. Ross lacks Letterman's easy charm though. He's too keen on controversy and exploiting easy targets. I once watched him interview a guest who didn't actually get to complete a full sentence. He's not unintelligent, but he is a dick. I can't get on with his personality at all. I find him endlessly irritating.

I don't know why interviewers keep asking him this question - he's answered it so many times and his answer is already on record. No one would ask anyone else this - because it's insensitive especially when it's already on record. There are so many more questions that could have been asked that would have garnered an insight into Paul and John's friendship/musicianship.

........ I was a kid living in the same city (New York City {Manhattan}) where he was killed. I remember thinking how could such a huge icon like that be killed. I remember watching peoples faces in my neighborhood of all races just becoming very humble and did NOT joke around for days after that. If someone was arguing with someone else and the name Lennon was brought up, it was enough to end the argument about something else. It was amazing to watch how deeply sad we New Yorkers were and everyone was wearing the New York City T-Shirt Lennon made famous. When Elvis died it was different because Elvis was really overweight and everyone knew he was on a lot of drugs. So when Elvis died it wasn't a surprise. But, when Lennon died he had just released an album with songs like Women, Just Like Starting Over and The Merry Go Round. So everyone here in New York were getting ready for the announcement of his shows at our famous arena Madison Square Garden to see him perform his new songs. RIP John Lennon.

As I was ready to go back in , he undressed showing a rather tiny penis and said. The one John Lennon is no longer.... Now he is Peter Kringle and works at a carnival in New Zealand. He wants YOU to keep all the money , give some to Julian and tell Yoko I (John) shall shit on her grave if the witch ever dies. and with one reverential wave of his cape (Oh he did have a cape) he sang "Hey Dude". and just grabbed a bus.Which I found interesting.

I think McCartney has handled this question very well over the years. His song, "Here Today" I think is his real answer. He is a public man and enjoys being with people and singing his hits and new songs. I think people have to remember he lost a friend; really a brother - Murdered in 1980. The man did not tour America again till 1990 - his last was 1976. Harrison shut off his lovely home from visitors when Lennon was murdered. Till then, anyone could freely tour the gardens, might even run into George as he worked his land. Then up went the fences and wire after John was murdered. Harrison was almost killed in 2000 in a break-in even after all the security issues had been addressed. Harrison's son stated that the attack on his life worsened his ability to recover from his cancer. So, in my mind two Beatles were murdered... A band that always sang about love...

Paul does hate people asking that same question for nearly 38 years. You can tell how much Paul misses John, his singing, and songwriting partner, the 2 of them, together, Lennon, and McCartney wrote some of music's greatest, and best loved songs. Not only that, it was a partnership that would change music forever. Their partnership in music terms, was simply magical. They inspired kids of the 1960s, 1970s, and beyond, to pick up guitars, and write songs. They influenced Queen, Oasis, and Blur, to name, but a few bands, in my humble opinion.

The day after John Lennon had died, Paul McCartney went to work, as normal, and there was a massive police presence, and the journalists wanted their input. When he was asked about John's death, he said, "It's a drag". I think he was still in shock, as it was an early morning telephone call, that woke him up. The comment about John's death being a drag was Paul's way of saying "It's a shock", in my humble opinion.

I think Paul is just not as eloquent at expressing his emotions as he is in his music, where sometimes the instruments talk for him. I've realised this more researching the beatles and some of his solo career. He seemed to be punished early on for showing emotions especially when his mother died as to not make others feel worse. Then there's Epstein, Linda and I'm sure a few more. The poor man even said a few months ago upon the release of mccartney III that he wouldn't be surprised if he's still not coping with the grief of Lennon as if his minds blocking it out. I feel for him :(

They way paul said the killer is a Jerk gives me the impression that he wants to punch that killer or anybody for that matter. Make no mistakes, Paul may show a happy side of him, but inside he is full of sorrows and regrets. Regrets about not patching up with John earlier, regrets about making songs that diss john a bit. So those people who insinuate that Paul is dead may be right in the way that Paul is dead inside.

Yoko set it up. John was sickened by the New World Order we're currently battling. I noticed click-bait for Sean Lennon with Sharon Osbourne. I couldn't help but laugh at the irony. Julian Lennon wasn't the only rockstar's son ostricised by his new step-mum.

I appreciate that Paul would probably prefer to keep some of his thoughts about his friendship with John and his feelings about John's death to himself. It is perhaps to some degree a British way of dealing with tragedy, but lots of people, including myself, would prefer to keep some things private. We the public don't need to know everything. I suspect he thinks of John and George now and then, maybe he's in his car and a Beatle song comes on, and he thinks about something funny that happened in the studio that day. He's not obligated to be inconsolable for the rest of his life. Ask him how his kids are doing, or what new music he's working on.

+Stewart Nicol as BILLY CONNOLLY Yep, that was definitely not a random murder by some random douche. Anybody that knows even a little bit how the world works will get. The same as Kennedy, Monroe, Martin L. King... and John Lennon... these are not out of the blue murders.

Mark Chapman was a Christian extremist that killed John for his lack of Christian beliefs and what he saw as blasphemy. He very clearly stated that it was religiously motivated. John had said The Beatles were bigger than Jesus years earlier and had then written Imagine, which is talking about there being 'no heaven and no religion.' Chapman had dedicated himself to Jesus and was a failure and John was a massive success and he wanted him to pay for criticising religion. It is no different than Muslims trying to kill for blasphemy today.

I was 19 and I remember it felt weird like the world was different after John’s death, we had already lost Bon Scott and John Bonham and I was gutted particularly about Bon, but I was too young to be a Beatles fan during the 60’s but my older sister and brother were devastated, when John died it felt like the end of an era.
