I love this interview so much. Paul never gets asked about Wings enough and to hear him not only talk about the tour but also the band members, Jimmy and Joe in particular is so great to hear. And to hear him state his love for Call Me Back Again, for me his finest vocal performance ever in my opinion, is wonderful to see. I just wish Wings had toured longer with that great line-up, throughout the rest of the 70's.
I'm so glad Paul gave props to that lineup of Wings which was undoubtedly the best line up they had during their most successful run. The band chemistry was off the charts and like Paul said, Jimmy and Joe's playing was fantastic! They brought something to the band the other lineups didn't. The only shame is that they didn't last longer.
The Wings over America tour of 1976 was definitely the band's highlight. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that with weaker albums and a not so good line-up. I also didn't think the song selection was that good on the last Wings tour (there is a bootleg from the London concert). Too bad I missed Wings when they came to Munich in September 1976. That would have been the show to see!
