The earlier version sounds like it is played at a slightly faster tempo and has a backing tape. The later version is slightly slower and has a live backing. Can't really see how this is supposed to be a different person or phoney imitator playing it the second time. Same chords, same key. Three days later he is filmed in Copenhagen having a party with his friends on the 25 March 1976. Yes he had a concert on the 23rd March 1976 in Berlin. But he would have been able to make it if he had wanted to. Problem with that was that Jim had remarried in 1964 to Angie. Angie the stepmother asked Paul not to be at the funeral. Plus without a pick, I'm free to slap and pluck, something pick- holders can't do....but you get a unique sound playing with a pick...in my experience, it's guitar players who play bass with a pick....
