I havent heard about the TV special going to YT yet Nick but most of it is available on the Band on the Run Archive deluxe box set one the bonus video disc. Im not sure they should be an issue with permissions for Rockestra, permissions were surely granted when the album was originally released so im not sure why they would need to get permission again. I dont recall there being an issue when the BTTE CD was released in 1993. But yes this is great news particularly as the performances of these songs is so great.

I never sold my vinyl when CD came in but I stopped buying it between 1987 and 2019 and bought only CDs. Now I buy both as they serve different purposes. Glad you are enjoying your vinyl again and enjoy the album when it arrives and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it Alistair.

There is a video of this out there on the Band on the Run Archive Collection box set but again it's not great quality. I heard that the masters dont exist anymore so they had to use a bootleg version for that release.

Mister Claudel never seem to disappoint I have all the Lennon sessions on this label and they are excellent. A nice compliment to the official super deluxe box set releases. Ive heard that the master no longer exists of the film that is why a poor quality bootleg version was used in the Band on the Run archive box set. I would urge you to reconsider your boycott - there are not many CDs that come with a DVD these days or ever for that matter so Im not sure why it's a show stopper for you . Your choice of course but this is going to be one heck of an album - the performances are superb

If you have the Band on the Run Archive SDE you can watch it on the bonus video disc. However I disagree that the studio versions of ALL the songs are better

I always feel sorry for my Australian viewers- and there is a few of you, as you always end up paying huge shipping costs or have to wait ages for delivery. There needs to be a better solution to this. OHC certainly ties in with Band on the Run timeline so maybe this release is a continuation of the 50th anniversary celebrations as you suggest. Beatley Tone After I pre-ordered my copy and posted a comment to your video I received an email from the Australian website where I can pre-order Paul's One Hand Clapping albums including the 2lp+7" version I pre-ordered. What I don't understand is how can you pre-order a vinyl record cheaper (including postage and other fees) than from an equivalent local website. For example I can pre-order One Hand Clapping 2lp+7" from the Australian website for 107.80 AUD (including postage) while I paid 98.30 AUD (including postage and other fees) from McCartney's UK online store and if I had pre-ordered the album from McCartney's US online store it would cost me a total of 105.52 USD (45.96 USD + 59.54 USD postage). I don't know how the US can justify charging 59.54 USD for postage to Australia while the UK postage from Europe to Australia is cheaper than the postage from the Australian website to an address in Australia. Even though snails travel faster than the parcels from UK/Europe, it is cheaper to buy from the UK than Australia.

I’m glad someone else pointed this out, why would he remove this from the piano medley I adore the song and removing a song from that piano section just isn’t the same, especially when you consider there isn’t any great takes of suicide released anywhere else the one on McCartney isn’t great compared to the full version in OHC, I feel like it has something to do with it actually being called Suicide when you consider how much emphasise is put on mental health these days

The meat and potatoes of this release is the performances of the Wings songs with the new line up. Thank you for taking the time to reply. I do have the Band On The Run set so have what is on there. Not sure if that includes everything. I probably have the EP tracks somewhere on a computer. It is more the principle that bothers me. Just treat everyone fairly. Why would you wish to alienate your fans? Makes no sense to me. I will of course let you know what I think of the CD when It arrives. It will be good to have this after all these years. At least the CD does seem to be not unreasonably priced.

Off track, but you know my comment about RSD and flipping on Ebay. Well I was lucky last night as online sale went live 20.00 last night and managed to get what I wanted at retail price so was lucky n happy. Just shows you that if you wait and don't jump in. Now to find Pure vinyl and Twin Freaks at fair price 😂

I would say almost certainly. There is a snippet of Juniors Farm around on Paul's FB and Insta accounts as a taster

The video has had an official release Mac, as it was included as bonus video in the BOTR Archive Collection SDE, albeit in pretty crappy quality . A cleaned up version would be most welcome as like you say, there are some stellar performances there

@@beatleytonesbeatleschannel It was being sold separately and also with the CD as a bundle, limited to 250. They also had different bundles with the LP's that included shirts on the US site.

It should have broad appeal to fans David. The performances are fantastic. Tbh I cant think why any fan wouldn't want this. I share your disappointment about the Ep not being on the CD but like I said in the video, this is no different to when CD was new and bonus tracks were include that were not available on the LP. To be fair , having heard the new remastered version of Juniors Farm , i'm now more excited ! it's a massive sonic upgrade compared to the video bootleg :)

They do like to throw a curved ball at MPL. Wasnt expecting this at all but very glad it's coming. I think GB is a better drummer than he's given credit for. he does some good stuff on this and there is not too much recorded work to judge him on. I think he's probably better than Steve Holley.
