I read an interview where Willie was asked when he was going to retire. He replied, "All I do is play golf and play music. Which one do you want me to quit?"
Not in the Philippines tho they were banned and beaten here lol they swore not to come back and if they did they will come back with a nuclear bomb And john said he will never go back here not even fly above it
Sir Paul has an ego... but it is NOT egotism. There is a world of difference. He KNOWS he is good at what he does. He has the confidence that long years of hard work and success have brought. That is a key facet: “...To develop confidence not arrogance.” 🌹
Maybe he should have been more direct and quote his other lyrics “So let me introduce to you The one and only Billy Shears”. Oh that didn’t work then either.
Absolutely. Back in the 60s, the Beatles didn't put singles on albums, because they didn't want the public to buy the songs twice. Coming from poor backgrounds, they knew how hard it was to save enough money just to buy an LP.
Yes they never put their singles on albums or released singles from albums. Some of their most revered classics like I Want To Hold Your Hand, Paperback Writer, and Hey Jude were singles never put on an album.
Actually, he's been gray for 30 years. There's a video of him with salt and pepper hair. I think it's called Press. He started dying it after that. He's now letting some gray show through.

And he fucking kills the concerts, it's unbelievable. Axl rose (for example) hasnt half the stamina this guy has Before people bitch about the comparison, it's the only one I can do, only watched gnr and Paul live concerts
I saw the Beatles on August 15th, 1965 at NY Mets Shea Stadium. I was 12 years old, (a month shy of 13 lol) My then 16 year old sister was given the task of purchasing five tickets for herself and her girlfriends. At the last minute, one of her friends couldn't go. She took me! Seats right behind the 3rd base dugout. Insane night to say the least! I remember flash camera's going off all over the stadium, girls screaming, crying just being there. Spray painted bed sheets with all kinds of messages on them.
I saw them August 23, 1966 at Shea Stadium, a night I will never forget. I was 15. Still have my ticket stub after moving a gazillion times. My BF went to Pelham High with Sid Bernstein's daughter and got us in. I wore my blue dress bell bottoms with a lilac checked button-down gingham shirt. The screaming was so loud you could barely hear a thing except people shut up for Yesterday. Bobby Hebb opened and I think the Ronettes may have played as well. I remember the audience looked like a sea of white eyelet and lace, everyone in their best dress. I ran down as the concert broke, galloping down 6 levels and when I got to the mezzanine, the Brinks truck with the Beatles was pulling away, about 20' below me on the landing. Paul was by the window, saw me and waved and I waved back!
Very cool Carol, I saw Paul in 93 at the Meadowlands "New World Tour", Again at NY Mets new Citifield, his return to Shea, Queens NY. July 21st He's amazing
That's amazing. I'm happy for you. Unfortunately I was born in 2003 but I was at Paul McCartney's concert and at Ringo Starr's this year. So I think I also can count myself as one of the luckiest people on earth :)
@@alejandrocorona1766 you have TDS? Bet Paul is conservative when it comes to England. He's happy the Queen knighted him. That says he likes Western tradition.
@@ChyloeReece communism is a religion for the atheist. It always ends in disaster. The crooked politicians, their high priests, put all the money and assets in their pockets and tell the people to eat shit and die .. Venezuela, Cuba , Russia etc.
“If people are gonna pay hard earned money, you gotta give them some value” Paul McCartney 2019 Only company that does that is probably Milwaukee and Paul himself
@@praponhaque1375 The original comment was a person expressing their love for an artist they never want to die, but they know that he is going to die someday. You act as if that person doesn't know it so you can teach them some life lessons and be a proud grown-up. It's either that or you knew what they meant, but still decided to be an asshole and call them out. Perhaps you thought you were being funny. As a third person, I can tell you you're not.
3:15 On a sidenote, Pink Floyd's guitarist once said in an interview (I think) that it was kind of sad that he could never just buy a new floyd album, put on the headphones and listen to it for the first time.
Even Paul's worst songs are better than most today's artist best..he can write in his sleep..thinks of melody and harmonies simultaneously....icon. legend. Cant imagine a day when he's no longer here...77 years old in 2019 and June 7 2019 Sir Ringo is 79 ..peace and love
@@robinholbrook6576 Let It Be was inspired by a dream he had about his mom, who had been dead for years. He was worried the whole Beatles and music career thing would end abruptly when in his dream, his mom told him things would be fine and just Le It Be...the rest as they say is history.
@@sniperpig049 really now? in character definitely not and music is subjective. there really is no need to start an argument here who wrote better songs.
I just imagine taylor swift also getting old and still having interviews in the future.❤ SINGERS ARE THE TRUE HEROES. THEY SAVE SADNESS, ANXIETY, DEPRESSION AND MORE💓
Two weeks ago he gave a concert here in Buenos Aires. Almost 3 hours, he played the guitar, the piano, the ukelele... Paul, you're my hero. Love you to the moon and back
His concerts are fantastic!!! I've been to a few and it's always close to three hours of great music and happiness. Only problem...no intermission, so watch that beer drinking!! I missed part of Blackbird 😩
I was 10 years old on a February evening in 1964, watching the Ed Sullivan show when the Beatles took the stage. My life as a kid in Kansas was at once enriched and illuminated. Memories from before that day are in black and white, and after, they’re in color. I collected all their albums, first on vinyl, later on cassette and CD. Now, thanks to iTunes, I’ve got them all and regularly jack the volume up to ten. I can imagine my dearly departed mom, yelling from the heavenly dimension, “turn it down!”
He’s always been that way. He married Linda and stayed with her ‘til death parted them. I wouldn’t doubt it if I learned he never even cheated on her. He just seems like he has great values.
He came to my hometown Nagoya for the first time, it was in 2018 and back then I was an poor university student. I had no money to get a ticket to get in to the stadium so I came close to a door and listened him sing very carefully with my ear on it. When me and a friend of mine was doing that poor stuffs, some old madams came to doors next to us listening him like us, ears on the door. It was a very cold day. Such a wonderful memory he gave to me. Thank you Paul.
Mary Bruun actually he has had some work done before, but it was a number of years ago. It was minimal work though. I heard him say this in an interview.
Paul came to my country and had a free concert a few years ago. 16 hours of waiting for the show to start were absolutely worth it and I would do it again. I'm so happy I got to see the man play live, now I can die happily.
Of course she does. And of course it's worth the money. Old music, classic rock etc. is amazing and The Beatles are amazing, but musical elitism is disgusting. We shouldn't have to deal with people cyber bullying us or shutting us down just for defending Taylor Swift. That's what I had to deal with. And they think they can get away with it just because Paul McCartney criticised her. Just because he's a legend doesn't mean everyone has to agree with everything he says. It doesn't mean he's always right or the authority on everything. And I might be wrong but I'm sure I heard somewhere that he's complimented her at some point... It really hurts me to see a real "album artist" being misunderstood and pigeonholed like this. I'm glad I'm not the only person who defended her on this page.
I love you so much, Sir Paul McCartney. We're so blessed to have you still ♡ I cried so much during your concert in Oslo, Norway. Everything was so perfect. Seeing you live was on my bucket list ♡
Paul is truly a living legend .. but what's most important to me is he never forgets where he comes from a true scouser like myself ... im so proud of him
Paul's mention of Dark Side of The Moon was sarcasm. Paul McCartney’s contributions to the album were deleted - but the Beatles made a surprise appearance on the record. In an attempt to further tie Dark Side‘s songs together, Roger Waters came up with the idea of recording interviews with Abbey Road staffers, road crew members, and anyone else working at the studio - asking them a series of questions about subjects ranging from the banal (favorite colors and foods) to the deeply serious (madness and death) - and then threading some of the interview snippets into the final mix. Paul McCartney, who was finishing Wings’ Red Rose Speedway album at Abbey Road, was actually among the interviewees, but Waters deemed his answers unusable. “He was the only person who found it necessary to perform, which was useless, of course,” Waters told Pink Floyd biographer John Harris. “I thought it was really interesting that he would do that. He was trying to be funny, which wasn’t what we wanted at all.” Even so, McCartney - or at least his music - still managed to make a brief appearance on the album. If you listen close to the end of “Eclipse,” the album’s closing track, a passage from an orchestral version of the Beatles’ “Ticket to Ride” can be heard; the song was apparently playing in the background at the studio while Abbey Road doorman Gerry O’Driscoll (who delivered the immortal lines, “There is no dark side of the moon, really. Matter of fact, it’s all dark. The only thing that makes it look light is the sun.”) was being recorded. McCartney's Wings bandmate Henry McCullough contributed the line "I don't know, I was really drunk at the time" to the song Money.
@@paulies5407 I agree. Back To The Egg features David Gilmour as well as other songs by McCartney over the years. Definitely was not sarcasm. That guy doesnt know what hes talking about. The recorded interview pieces is true but the sarcasm comment is just wrong.
I have to go watch him in this tour! I'm 22, I've been a fan of the Beatles for about as long as I can remember. And I promised myself that I would go watch Paul live at least once. He's coming to my state in June but tickets are $250 each...
I feel so incredibly lucky to be alive at the same time as a Beatle. To still be able to see him live in my life time is a genuine honor. I'm so glad he's still active, really hope I get to see him live at some point.
@Wild Eye I dunno two tracks that standout the most are back in Brazil and despite repeated warnings. Really proggy songs. Its okay to have an opinion, but no reason to be a complete asshat about it. I'd say its a great album, some generic songs, a couple absolutely horrendous songs I'll admit. Fuh you especially terrible.
When Paul talks about album covers and you as a kid were also staring at those picfures, every time finding new details in it - this feeling of resonating gives me chills ✨
What this man has seen and lived! And to see him today he looks like he hasn’t aged at all! He stands out in each era he’s in and looks damn good doing it. Thanks Paul for doing what you do and for keeping on sharing your music and talent with us still. We appreciate it❤️
It’s incredible to know that the greatest living legend of music is like each one of us. He enjoys travelling through album covers and read all the notes about the records. Paul is all the best, indeed!
I hope paul mccartney visits the Philippines again, without thinking what tragedy they had here. I hope he considerate how The Beatles influenced alot of great musicians and singers in the Philippine Industry. I hope he will❤
I saw him last week in Las Vegas and it was absolutely incredible. My aunt was literally in tears and I smiled and yelled so hard that my face and throat hurt so much the next day and I've never been so happy in my life!
Ahaha! "We're the only people in the world who have never seen The Beatles". Truth! Gosh I love this man and yes GO SEE HIM in concert! He has the energy and stamina of a 20 year old and it is epic.
