For those that don't think hypnosis is real, it is. Yea it seems fake and these people seem like good actors, but you need to understand how hypnosis works and the common misconceptions about hypnosis. Dr. McKenna is a hypnotist and knows quite a bit about Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP). Keep in mind that NLP and hypnosis are different fields but share some common things. Do some research, the mind is a fascinating subject to explore :)
Hypnosis is highly effective for many disorders and takes one session for smoking cessation…I have worked with skeptics who drop into trance quickly so it is not fake at all…as an experienced hypnotherapist, I am still in awe of results.
Funny question now...”can anyone be hypnotized?” I say “no!” Although, the marketing companies use hypnosis & any deceitful practice they can. It’s been going on for years! In the 80’s I started collecting the subliminal ads during college days. I love this...I took hypnosis in college.
This stuff does work. A hypnotist come to my school once, and did a show in front of about 400 of us. He called up about 20 people who volunteered. and was able to hypnotize them all in about 15 minutes. As time went on, some of the people fell out of the hypnotic state and just left the stage. A lot of the people on the stage that I personally knew, would never do the things they did on stage. The Bill Gates guy seemed the least hypnotized. Martha and Obama were the most.
For people who think hypnosis doesn't work and they are all stooges, how would you explain someone afraid of going to the dentist who then has their teeth drilled without any anaesthetic but are convinced via hypnosis that they don't feel any pain?
also when he says ' this women is convinced shes oprah winfrey this man is convinced hes bill gates' surely they would be shocked and say something like 'what are you talking about?'
I stopped smoking by having a massive heart attack, work's wonders, scares the living schitt outta ya so you don't smoke any more, trouble is, food tastes much better lol
yeah once came to my school too and i def believed it, it was awesome! but this particular video i don't believe, they seemed like actors and too rehearsed.
He says everyone can be hypnotized. Why then does he only select a few? He chooses. Of course, they that are the most receptive, those who believe in this. Then as he points out, it is not possible to hypnotize even the most susceptible to doing a thing that goes completely against their subconscious. As a crime for instance. Intelligence services have been trying that for decades without success.
Derren Brown got someone to commit a crime through conditioning .. literally some music played in a car passing by and the opportunity presented itself (all engineered) and the guy tries to from a cash transit company by holding up a fake gun. (All false but he didn’t know)
You can cure phobias in even less than an hour with hypnosis. I’ve seen it. Cognitive behavioral therapy can be a very long, time consuming route. Find a professional hypnotist, and give it a try.
Sasha Hawkins Yes he is, and thats because it isn´t really sleep. The term is used because we associate what happens to be very sleep like. We all have different conscious ideas how that would be, and thats why you see different responsens.
I'm sorry. But I'm not convinced that these people were hypnotized. The guy who was "hypnotized" into thinking he was Martha Stewart was kind of amusing.
Either you respect the person's art or you dont. but i hate this whole skeptical attitude of some people towards things that they dont understand. if some thing is beyond your comprehension, then just leave it and move on man.
I hear Paul McKenna is good but this was not a good example. I could have done Obama "You and I, we're gonna change this country." I didn't see anything resembling the actual role models.

And when person tries to remember things, his look goes to the top left ("trying to reach in memory part of the brains"), when lying - look goes to the right side ("trying to make up some things - create"). And it has to happen only for a milisecond. It is clear that they all are just bad actors.
Miķelis Baltruks What is clear is that you do not understand hypnosis. As for the eye accessing patterns, everybody does it (yes you too). Its all about what representational systems we use to process information. The eye accessing cues are far more complex than you make them out to be.
Ummm.... i have the strange impress, that these people bring along good acting skills. I also dont buy it at all. Thats so predicable, i guess the process of getting a person hyponotized, takes much more time as these paltry seconds of talking "big" on behalf of McKenna - Andy seems so naive at this moment...(otherwise hes under the same cover -_-)
chris77777777ify you aren’t actually sleeping when you are being hypnotized. When in a trance, you are still aware of everything, and you are much more concentrated. Hypnosis is being in a relaxing state of mind and having an easier time listening to suggestions. I can’t think of a good way to phrase that.
