WALLPAPER SOURCE: Many of you have been asking where did I take the wallpaper of Paul at the start of the video, so here's the original image from the awesome artist Alice X Zhang. twitter.com/alicexz/status/1439951418161606660
Zimmer took the best of Drone Doom and melded it with the standard cinema shite. The only thing that sets this apart is the darkness of Sunn, Nadja and Boris
@@VaughanRoderick You are one typical idiot who has literally just lost the ability to give credits. Produce music like him, then talk like this. Don't talk like this if you can't do anywhere near the same.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
Might I suggest an adblocker or perhaps even an altogether different browser, sir? Ublock Origin and Brave browser have both excelled on delivering zero adverts for quite some time. I think it's time we stop whining about ads and choose a different path.
I saw DUNE part 2 twice in theaters. The scene I believe I know what you are referring to is as Lady Jessica now Reverend Mother enters the cave. Her son Paul Usul follows and the music score changes, dramatically. I knew the moment Paul Atreides said You must think I'm really stupid.... Then the transformation. Scary. Intense and so well performed by Timothee Chalamet! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
@@jaemyrick5277 The song in question was in the equally phenomenal scene when Paul does the Anakin entrance outside of that place, with a sandworm erupting out of the ground behind him
"Lead them to paradise" What a great protagonist, Chalamet's performance as the film progresses improves and improves until reaching points where he imposes, the music, the costumes, his relationship with Chani, Everything is well done, how he doesn't want the prophecy to take over his entire being, and he lets it happen, but in his own way, is Incredible, his character from the moment he drinks the water until the end of the film is Outstanding, and his speech is Cinema
After Dune 2, Wonka and Call Me by Your Name, he is slowly becoming one of my favorite actors in general, but there is still time for that. I'd love to check out his other roles to confirm this.
His father told him in Dune 1 "A great man doesn't seek to lead. He is called to it, and he answers.", which literally what happened with Paul. Man Denis didnt skip a bit i this movie and I love it.
Do not. It's not his worst role, but his worst film so far. Caricatural "medieval" film where everything is shitty and blue-filtred, to serve an historically piece of bullshit. Like the rest of his role choices so far. By the way, maybe you forgot, but you probably saw him, young, in Interstellar (not his best role but one of his best films probably)
‘I was a friend of Jamis,’ *Paul whispered.* *He felt tears burning his eyes, forced more volume into his voice.* ‘Jamis taught me… that… when you kill… you pay for it... I wish I’d known Jamis better.’
Literally... it felt like it was somehow holding my throat and now I feel exactly the same feeling and flasbacks, when I listen to this incredible music piece....
Yes yes, Dune 1&2 are masterpieces and Hans Zimmer has outdone himself with his soundtracks but can we please acknowledge how incredibly well the tracks have been cut together for this video? Kudos to you Tim S. Lucas! 👍
Arrival and Only I will remain are true masterpieces. Representing the danger and beauty of a messianic story, from its scary promise, to Paul's realization of what is going to come if he fulfills his duty. Hans Zimmer deserves another Oscar.
I don't know... Messianic? Mother-bred most likely. She's the real atom of evil. She is the one Paul should have killed to see and handle his real fate.
This might be the greatest fucking thing I’ve ever heard. What an assortment this was. Absolutely loved the soundtracks, but this is a whole different level. May thy knife chip and shatter. Chip and fucking shatter.
Blessed be the Medley Maker and his music. Bless the coming and going of His views and subscriber count. May His uploads cleanse the world. May He keep RU-vid for His people.
From 0:00 to 6:45 that is my favorite leitmotif in this entire soundtrack. It's haunting, otherworldly, and with the low choir, it sounds absolutely monolithic. Like an actual modern-day Greek-level myth
Truly, an epic tale of the falling hero; from the innocent Paul Atreides, to the reluctant Muad'dib, to the cold and calculating Kwisatz Haderach. PS: I was waiting patiently for what you were going to do with the darker tracks of the soundtrack. I'm not disappointed! :) Just need Kiss the Ring and Lisan al Gaib in some other suites.
Terrible indeed, while atvthe same time i don't feel him evil nor strong. He's weak indeed, and totally enslaved to his mother. He should have killed her, as harsh as it feels, and all the Bene Gesserit with her. Then he would have embraced a some free fate of his.
@@Dominator6754that part plays when they show us Jessica's fetus for the first time. Right after the ancient/previous reverend mother is "passing the torch" to Jessica
Knew I had to come here right after I finished watching this masterpiece in the big screen. Thanks for the compilation, its going to be my whitenoise for a while along with your prev. compilation from part 1.
I rewatched Dune Part Two (for the third time), and I still felt the same majesty I had at the end of every viewing, so remained still and silent in reverent awe of this film... Then the twelve year old right next shouted for the whole theater "Well that sucked." I've never had such difficulty resisting the urge to publically slap someone more than that moment. 😅
Anyone feel like the emperor wishes paul was his son , when he said your father was a weak man it was almost like he wanted Paul to do instead what the emperor would do in this scenario rather than paul's actual dad.
Sorry for not including it, you're not the only one who mentioned it! I know the track is pretty good, but I find very difficult to make a smooth transition between this and other soundtrack, especially in an action-packed suite like this one. For its calmer mood and tempo, I would prefer to use it in a different type of suite, like an Arrakis suite for example.
YOUR S U I T E S are FUCKING aMaZIng !! - VERY JUICY, So PowerFuLL ! amazing ART covers. You are NO. 1 (after "matogolf", "SuiteSound Music") @@Tim_S_Lucas
The part we’re the door blows open as he walks to the baron alone to seal 🦭 his fate . Untouched in a room full of enemies and elites in fear ,Chilling and unforgettable. Who knows it could have been sand worms build them tunnels under Gaza 🤫 let’s hope 😢❤
Amazing suite ! Dune part 2 is one of the best movies I've seen in recent years ! Is it possible to know the name of the artist of Paul's portait at the beginning ? 😊
I like it, but personally I would have tried to order it differently so that the music reflects his fall from hero to Messiah. But maybe hard to do with the music
I don't necessarily think there is a correct order to show a character's journey through music. Maybe my original Paul Atreides video reflects better what you mean, even though it had only music from Part One. I actually reused a good portion of it starting from "Herald of Change" at 6:52, but because the original video become so popular and I really didn't want to repeat myself so closely, I prefered to have a different start for this new suite and setting a more intimidating/ominous tone right from the beginning.
I dont know how You feel guys, but the ending of the Part II was somewhat terrifying to me. A "holy war" is coming, millions will die, just because this group of sisters and mothers deemed Paul a better emperor. Truly a dramatic way to present what horrors feudalism is bringing upon humankind for millenia.
No? Paul's jihad dismantles feudalism because it's incompatible with the totalitarian rule he needs to establish, feudalism gives far more local representation than people assumes because the whole point is to delegate power. The problem of feudalism is the lack of social mobility, it usually avoided devastating wars inside the system
Im not sure if Paul really wants a totalitarian rule. But at this point who cares? Paul was just another figure on a grand board of political games. The real message here is that as long as there is spice, there will be wars for it. Wars fought by the masses on the command of unworhty people. If humanity cannot break this cycle, humankind will be doomed forever.@@BenderSnake
