The military issue Elgin is beautiful. The same watch was made by three manufactures, Elgin, Bulova and Hamilton all produced that watch. Dials were sterile, meaning no brand name, to maintain military uniformity. What an exciting piece being as it is unissued, unworn, in the original box with papers. Almost never see that. As a package I would say the appraisal is about spot on. $1500 or maybe just a little more. Fun seeing such a piece on this channel. Its really something right up my alley. A true piece of United States military history. One note, i do not believe that crystal is supposed to be colored like that. I believe that is a sign of age and is stunning.
