They would have said first of all we will let LeBron do a fishnet commercial for you guys for your first game of the new season coming up along with...............
Jjs basketball IQ is light yesrs ahead of hams and most other coaches, if your a casual just say so cause you seem to know nothing bro. Plus it was the 55th pick, nobody ever does anything with the 55th pick.
Ya but it sounds like baby’s first basketball take. Has literally anyone tried to claim drafting Bronnie was part of a plan to win a chip? Bron just figures if he’s not competing for chips, might as well accomplish some other goals like playing alongside his kid.
That’s why they got rid of Paul on ESPN. He said he had been bumping heads w them for a while about the BS narrative they were pushin. His IG live w the skrippers gave them just what they needed to drop him
@@nowdoyouunderstandpain6066yes sir! That chip was trash 🗑️ Lebron is definitely a talent no doubt. Him and AD in LA are premadonna’s in LA for entertainment. Get them both out.
You're absolutely right, Mr. Piece! It's about entertainment. I feel bad for the 1,000 players who are way better than Jr. Nba is about business and not competition. Nba is the new WWE.
How many second round 55 picks are still in the league? Make it make sense. Yes they picked Lebron's son but who knows how he pans out. How many coaches have a been first timers? Quite a few. Pierce is just talking to talk. If Jordan or Bird or any other NBA player did that with their son would we be talking about it? Nope not all. Even Doc Rivers son had flack when his son played for him. Was it a script then? Nope only when LeBron does it.
@@Eddybo22absolutely everybody would be talking about it if Jordan or Bird did it under the same circumstances! Jordan had the chance to do it and didn’t. There are many other athletes that probably could’ve. I wish nothing but the best for Bronny, but he was not the phenom in high school or college, however he will get better with time.
@@skittles4lif when I say talking about it I mean them demeaning LeBron and Bronny the way people are. They would definitely talk about it but it would be more positive than negative.
@@Eddybo22 agreed… They shouldn’t be demeaning Bronny for anything, but LeBron knew what the situation was from the beginning. Like it or not, LeBron knows he is a polarizing figure, so why bring strife and hate into his son budding career? As I stated elsewhere… he did it for his legacy. My mom always told me there are better methods for better outcomes. I hope the hate stops and Bronny can be his own man.
He's absolutely right. What he's saying isn't shocking or new. Everybody is saying or thinking the exact same thing. Draft a player that hasn't earned it, hire a coach, that hasn't earned it, to keep LeBron happy and sell a story.
Very! I wasn't for LeBron in the begining. Great athlete, but not a real team type of player In the Laker tradition and sense. This move, is for the "records" only. This is shades of Magic getting Westhead released. Player with to much pull.....
Sad days to be a Lakers fan, Cowboys fan, Marvel fan and Star Wars fan and these are storied franchises with an unbelievable fan base! I just don't understand it. 🤔
@@alantaylor-vb6mn i never wanted bron here in la Lakers either! we gave up all those great young players all they needed was the right coaching staff but no they got rid of them all for one just one championship that took all the way until 2020 to win... now with bronny bron aint ever gonna leave damn someone please take him
He knows he's out of the goat conversation so he doesn't care. He's arguably not top 10 anymore. Mj, kobe, shaq, Russell, magic, bird, Duncan, west, Kareem, maybe lebron sneaking in there at 10?
The mockery of the lakers started before lebron, when kobe and them sucked balls for nearly a decade and the hiring of his undeserving agent as the gm. Lebron comes, wins a chip in year two and gives lakers fans their first glimpse of success in a decade and now yall want to cry? Because of who was drafted at pick 55? No ever have a damn who tf was pick 50+ but because it happens to be lebrons son, it’s a mockery? Yall sound stupid
he doesn’t know what he’s talking about though, it’s all about a championship, bronny was drafted 55th, it’s not like he was a lottery pick. of course it’s for some clout, it’s also to keep the person who won the organization a championship after 10 years of no glory at all
Oh no they wasted the 55th pick when they had soooo many better options they must be fucking around and not trying to win 🙄 U and Paul both dense as hell
No he isn't Rob isn't putting his last eggs in JJ basket for 2 yrs of bron if JJ fails rob losing job don't be a fckin moron does bron like JJ yeah for a reason. Stop being a fckin moron
Bro they went to the conference finals the year before this season Do think they aren’t trying to win games 😂😂😂 You guys memory is so short you prolly forgot they were in the conference finals
@@RickDenby-ow7eh he played with them because he was an owner, he came back because they sucked so bad, he had 20+ a season even though he was injured for most of a season. And let's be real, wizards Mike was an old Mike who came back after 3 years of complete sports retirement, at least when he came back in 95 he was playing baseball so he was in comparatively decent shape, 3 years of not playing high level sports took a toll.
@@DominiqueWilliams-ue3rxhow is that exactly delusional if it hasn't even been done once meanwhile every year there is a championship winner. So how is that something that's rare less rewarding?
@@blacksource2101exactly and the real Lakers fans are glad. Bronny is the only player in this draft that anyone ever heard about. Be honest besides Zack Eddy
I am a diehard Laker fan since 1971, and I can’t believe I’m about to give props to a Celtic (😂), but I appreciate Paul’s very real talk. I agree completely. Besides, Paul gets a pass being from So Cal.👍🏾
@@lolaready2562😅😅if you really did, you wudnnt make a negative comment lots of 2nd or 3rd rd picks go after 1yr & hv great careers, yaw gv them a chance but say hes gonna fail...that coach was horrible. Why noones talking abt dennis Rodman son on that team. They played like high school...like I sad they were horrible.
You mean to tell me playing mediocre college ball can get you drafted? Man I wonder how many players who didn’t get drafted feel like they got slapped in the face… 🤷🏽♂️
It was mediocre overseas players going in the lottery. Calm down I know guys who played in the same league as the number 1 pick and they can’t believe he went that high
to be fair he was a projected top 10 pick coming out of high school. "oh but if he wasn't lebron's son" then he wouldn't be playing at a big high school in la he might not even be playing basketball at all and no he wouldn't be coming out after the season he had because it wouldn't make sense- but he is Lebron's son, so they're living in reality. Funny how you crybabies online are the actual ones who can't
I'm glad that Le Bron and his Son are on the same team at the same and hope the Lakers win a Championship, Paul Pierce isn't bad mouthing them but him looking at the Picture and how they drafted Bronny makes a lot of sense of what he's saying
And then what? You have Giannis who run amock changed 3 coaches in a row Demand trades and reserve a spot on a roster for his brother Bronny need to play 1v1 vs Thanansis and who lose will be removed from the league lmao
He was right about JJ, but how is picking someone else with the 55th meant to win a championship? If they drafted someone else with the bottom pick, then we’d be clowned on for ‘letting LeBron leave’. Smh.
@@wannaspritecranberry06 Manu Ginóbili was 57th pick. He was crucial part of Spurs' championships. Michael Cooper was 60th pick. George Gervin was 40th. Marc Gasol was 48th. Jokic was 41st. Let's try not demean it just because it's 55th. It's a precious spot that someone more deserving with much better talent could have had. I know it's rare to pick a gem at such late spot ... but history showed it's not improbable.
And then what he still can play guys need to make shots y’all all think this is a joke Jordan won off motivation, Kobe won without Shaq because of motivation. LeBron playing with his son with a legit chance at winning it all is motivation and if they do that the Jordan convo of being the GOAT would be surpassed by a father and son world champion on the same team.
I agree with Paul pierce about them focusing on putting on a show instead of winning a chip but bronny was a very late second round pick so that didn’t really affect the lakers draft but hiring Ik reddick is not a championship winning move
I just can’t wait for the drama this season “oh why is jj not playing his friends son” “why is Lebron not passing his son the ball” “bronny is only getting 24 mpg because of his dad” 😂😂😂😂
Whatever they do people gonna hate it’s a lose lose situation no matter what the outcome is. It really sucks for bronny though bc yes he’s dad is lebron but he just achieved his dream and people can’t accept that and it’s not fair really to him because no matter what their not gonna be satisfied.
If Bronny get 24 mpg is because of LeBron. Bronny still got to prove himself. He got drafted second round, if it was any one else no one would care but since it's Lebron's son it's different.
@@kaisolos2985its not fair to the person who actually deserved to be drafted. Dude didnt even average 5 ppg in college. Quit acting like he actually deserved a spot. Only reason hes in the nba now is because of his dad. Not his talent
@@michaelperez3720 If the internet comment section assembled and drafted an NBA team it would go 0-82. You guys and I know absolutely fucking nothing about evaluating talent. Let's not act like 2nd round draft picks actually make an impact, historically they don't. (Jokic is the EXCEPTION)
@@brittanywilson9361 Saved them with a Mickey Mouse chip.. 2 years no playoff. 1st round sweep exit nugget sweep and a gentlemen sweep thus year… let’s call him a Leker GReat lolol
Remember yall said this. Bronny about to shock everybody. Not a fan of riding your dad’s legendary coat tail but I believe he needed to to get in the door now the real work starts and I have this crazy feeling ygoing to go out there and ball his ass off no Diddy
Lakers win a championship this coming season would be insane . If Paul was in the same position as lebron . He would have drafted his son and said “ What the hell are you going to do about it ?!” Kevin Garnett would have applauded him!
I’m sure they wouldn’t give af. And LeBron’s brought a finals appearance and a ring to every team he’s joined, one of which was a poverty 2007 Cavs team. Saying ‘LeBron destroys every team he joins’ and ‘oh these legends would be mad’ is blind hatred. And what else are the Lakers meant to do with a bottom second round pick? Smh, please make some sense of such blind hating if u gone do just that.
I don’t see how tbh. 100% nepotism, but even still, this is the 55th pick in one of the weakest draft class in a long time. This destroys nothing. Lakers still gonna be ass with or without Bronny lol.
What kind of BS is that? How is better than Bronny at 55? They already got Dalton Knecht in the first round. Dalton Knecht is the best movement shooter in this draft class, and JJ Reddick is respected as one of the best movement shooters in the NBA in his prime. Who better to coach Dalton? Same thing as Steve Kerr and Steph, when your coach played your position they get it, they understand what its like for you, they can help you so much more. Bronny at 55 got them LeBron, and not just any LeBron, LeBron playing at 150% because he is playing with his son now. They still got Dlo and Austin Reaves as well, so they got 3 shooters, and a smart 3 and D combo guard. They even got backups if Bronny don't work out.
Sooo let Me get this straight Dr. Buss who had his entire family on the Lakers payroll would be upset that the Lakers star player brought in his Son on a second Rick number 55 pick? You know what’s funny Since LeBron has gone to the Lakers only the Celtics have had more success than 1 title and 1 WCF…. Nobody else has yet ppl still call this a failure….. That shows the hate
Somebody said that nobody even talking about Boston winning a Chip this year. I think he hired JJ the next day right. LBJ is the Master of misdirection. 😮😂😂😂
I been called it in 2022 that Lebrom gone be the first player to play with his son on the same team and win the nba championship with him in the same year. I’m putting 500 down on lakers to win the championship for the next 3yrs.
