Paul Rodgers is one of the Best in his field. He deserves much more recognition. I saw him with Jimmy Page and the Firm in the 80's Wow. Today's Bullshit music cannot compare.
I saw them in ‘79 at the Boston Garden right after Desolation Angels came out and they were incredible!!Played nothing but hits!! I also saw them in 2012,not the original lineup but Paul Rodgers and Mick Ralphs sounded like they did on their albums.Too bad Rodgers never got together with surviving members of Led Zeppelin since Robert Plant can’t sing the old songs anymore and Plant doesn’t want to play them either
Funny watching Paul trying to deal with a wobbly mic. He was trying to visually communicate with the backstage crew about it. Loved how he took it in stride, kept on singing and enjoying himself. Near the end of the song, when he took the mic off the stand, you can see him joke about it with gestures. 😅
He may not be the 'prettiest' but DAMN...Paul Rodgers has a voice beyond compare and charisma like no other! If this is the view from you just being in the audience, it's very, very cool! Thanks.
When Ritchie Blackmore needed a new singer after Ronnie and Cozy left Rainbow, his first choice was this man. Clearly, that didn't happen and I'm one who laments the more commercial direction Ritchie chose for the band - RIP RJD. Thanks for the memories of an era that we will never see again.
