Fully justified rant! I do admire the use of rollers though, in which I am a great believer. I used sheep fencing posts last year to move an enormous York stone slab about 80 metres and currently have a Victorian safe on broom handles whist I paint it and then roll it into its newly built cubby.
Nowadays people seem to be like that - today we watched a couple of plumbers coming to our neighbours house, first they blocked the driveway to our and another neighbour's house, then smoked some cigarettes on there and dumped all the cigarette butts everywhere... What kind of a picture do people get of that kind of behaviour? Good, precise and clean work? Never! But, trash never learns it just stays trash, I think.
A long long time ago when good old steam trains ruled the roost, my father bought an ex WD BSA M20 with a frame and wheel attachment , a loose form of sidecar you could say..The Brecon Neath raiway was operative then and I remember it was uneventfully normal as the unit was wheeled out from the guards van in a couple of minutes and the train was on it's way . With the addition of petrol it was immediately good to go, and it continued to do so for many years and covered a huge mileage before eventually giving way to a BSA DBD34 Golldstar .Now progress is inevitable, but with a train at your doorstep it;s a bit sad no such service is offered to day.
I know - I would have loved to use a Tiger Cub to explore the UK, using trains for the long hauls, tents and B+B's and just do the local exploring at and near each destination.
Well after watching you with the cubs you enthused me to think about rebuilding my old kawasaki z250c as im retiring later this year. Anyway I found an advert for a pair of shocks for it. When they came they were not even a pair one one as off that bike God knows what the other was off. I emailed the seller got a return label jumped on my monkey bike did the 18 mile trip to the post office and returned them. But hang on I also ordered a set of forks for it, they arrived i unpacked them you guessed it they were not off a z250c the label on one side said honda on the other it said 550c. Had to take the car to return them this time. How the he'll could they get it wrong One not even a pair Other labelled differently Think I will just send the originals for 're chroming. So not just you that is surrounded by idiots Paul seems i am as well Regards Billy
