Absolutely correct About a large chunk of England fans, why do they get so passionate about something that won’t affect them if England win or lose, it would make more sense if everything about England meant everything to them.

As you say, they fly the St George's cross, wear the shirts, paint their faces to cheer on the England national team, but they don't do it on St Georges day or any other of our national British days. My Dad was a coastguard at Newhaven & Birling Gap in the days where they would be at lookouts reporting EVERY vessel for over 40 years. He would not had agreed with what them and the RNLI have agreed to assist these immigrants here. He would joke back then how easy it was for "foreigners" to come in boats with no numbers on.
