Without a doubt one of the best inside looks at a Great Lakes freighter. The PRT is the biggest and the best on the Great Lakes. Spectacular video. I have a 5 foot wooden model of this ship. I love it.⛴️
Meh, I sailed on the MV Burns Harbor and she carries more capacity than the PRT. The 13 foot flared focsle on the Tregurtha doesn't do anything for capacity
What a wonderful story! Thank you for doing it! Yes they all play a very important part. That was amazing. As always safe travels always to all those that have careers on the waters 🙏
FYI, This ship is the William Delancey that was later renamed. It was the very last ship to be built in Lorain Ohio in I think 1982? There are pictures of it being built on line.
@@evan1788 It's bad brother and getting worse, but alot of people are moving to Nevada and New Mexico and a lot of them are the homeless. But at least the homeless here are still warm in the winter :-)
I am happy for you that you are working on this ship.I am working as seaman for at least 10 years and also want to on board this super ship.Just applied yesterday and do not know if it will be possible to get on.))
It wouldn't be in just one train. It would take 4 or 5 trains depending on the territory. What they don't mention is trains can have the coal there in a matter of two to three days... There are some subdivisions that used to run more coal than that on a daily basis. But coal is on its way out the door, natural gas, nuclear, wind and solar are taking its place.
Sault St. Marie is in MICHIGAN. No, she knows what the rest of us do. Interlake is a very good shipping co and the Paul R is the best and largest on the Great Lakes. This is the best ship on the lakes and she's honored to be doing the report.
