As I approach 51 next month, I listen to amazing tracks like this. I flash back to younger carefree years. We all loved each other, hugged, kissed, showed interest. What happened? 😔 These memories are decades ago, but I am so incredibly grateful I was there ❤
was 63 last March, lived through the finest musical decades, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Thanks to John Peel I started to get into house and trance in the mid 90's and on new years eve1999 I went to meet a mate of mine to get some acid.. He couldn't get any but asked me if I'd be interested in a pill instead. After Old Lang Syne I was walking home and happened to be walking past a nightclub and could hear the beat through the walls so I went inside. It was the start of 3 years of pills and being the first on the dance floor and the last off and this amazing track was part of that journey. To say I feel privileged is an understatement...
0:58 🎉 2023, 38yrs old, currently kicking lymphoma's ass and one of my best mates Faquci brings up this track for the BEST nostalgia EVER! Greatest mix of all time ❤🙏🏼
I heard this in a club in Leicester. Went back the following night with a blank cd, gave it to the DJ and he burnt this song onto it for the following weekend. And my cd looks identical to the one in the photo. Still listening to in now in 2023 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
lol yes the mighty white label , coming home from djing in the club stinking of cigarettes n soaked in sweat , 30 years still in clubs but no smoke and very little sweat there too busy taking selfies and tik toks to really dance and have the time of your life turn off the wi-fi and dance ya bas****s
@@Raiderofthelostloam they did, but they could easily change but their too hung up on social media and look who i saw, i didn't give a crap about DJ's tbh as long as they played good music 👍
Unrivalled to this day. Progress Derby, Passion Coalville, Limo's Mansfield. £20 in my pocket and a couple of Mitsi's. Good old days. PVD @ Es Paradis Ibiza throughout the last 25 years too, need a bit more than £20 in my pocket but the SoundClouds help. :)
Omg been looking for this but didn't know who it was by, until today when it was playing in spin class got chills the club went up when this came on. My weekend is complete!
It still gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. I remember trying to recreate years ago, it was ok but just didn't have the same humph than this mash up so i never showed it to any one.
I remember the first time I played this in a club. There was a queue of people at the DJ booth wanting to know what it was. A white label coming out of Lincoln. If I remember correctly JPS stood for John, Paul & Sharon.
Had to add this to my best mashups playlist. I used to go nuts to this and sandy B vs Camisra back in the day. Even love where it seems to fuck yo at the end with the beat. Must have been a nightmare to mix haha
Best was havin the accapella pack that this was done off and doin it live at a club or rave or party to for an angel.... this vinyls cool i had it it always sounded like it had been mashed live and recorded str8 off the decks to vinyk
@@healthyparanoia2535 yeah it kinda does.i have the acapella for Lover but not best quality, tempted to do this mash up just for practice haha. One of the best. timeless. still sends crowds crazy even now, over 20 years later.
@@healthyparanoia2535 It was done at a radio station actually :D Kiss 1998/1999 radio via JPS. It was bootlegged/broadcastt for the first time as i recall in 1999 on kiss fm, in october or december if i recall. I rang up and requested it then it played. :D
I first heard this in an internet cafe back in 2005, playing Battlefield 2 during summer....Long story short in some way this song determined what I would like for the rest of my life. Like the rest of us I feel bad because those times are gone. But really, there was nothing like it afterwards...
Memories of Paradox on a Saturday night, the place would erupt with the opening cords! Even if you were listening on the radio (cause we did that back then), you could still feel the electricity in the room! There’ll never be anything that comes close
