I thought the interviewer did quite well actually. Paul seems like a guy who's not all that happy answering questions, hence his sometimes short answers. That's always difficult for an interviewer - when the interviewee doesn't run with the questions. Enjoyable session all the same.
Don't think RandomPerry is comparing talent, just the set up. I think it's a really valid point. Maybe a better example would've been Neil Young and his Silver and Gold set then people would've shut the fuck up
KCRW is one of the best stations in the country, the DJ is honing his interview skills, he is getting better. Paul has seen it all and acts professional while putting up with below average questions. A fun question to get him talking: talk about the first tour in the US opening for Blue Oyster Cult? Who came up with that idea? How much did you get paid? etc.
Hate it when theres like 8 guitars in the room, makes you feel each one aint really doing much. Unplugged should have that stripped back feel, like Noel and Gem in Paris. Or Ashcroft acoustic solo, Weller is the man and dont need to hide behind other instruments.
