Very true statement. I found Paul in the mid 90’s and have been listening to him ever since. He’s never been away for very long - always putting out new music and performing.
Where does Paul take this seemingly endless stream of inspiration for timeless, classic tunes? I'm glad I became a fan 41 years ago and he never stopped enriching my life with musical beauty& soul.
I wish people would stop slagging Paul off about his hair how old he looks and how rich he is just enjoyed the music thats what matters he one of the best if not the best singers ever
Sadly mate some people will always get off on negativity. Those people are better ignored, they've nothing going for them, so to bring the rest of us down is their only joy. Forget them and enjoy the tuneage!!
This version is definitely better than the one in the album. I listened for the first time back in 2021 when it was released and now I remember of it 🥲.
I'm an American from Chicago. See Paul whenever he comes to town. In my opinion he may be the worlds greatest writer and performer. Nobody I know knows about Weller. Surprising to me. He would fit in great in the States.
Too funny, I'm from America and have no idea who he was (just a month ago) also I have no idea how I started listening to him the live festival Hyde park and I'm hooked! Especially the song...you do something to me 😊
Paul Weller is and always has been a genius.I listened to the Jam way back in the seventies and he was the driving force of the band.40 years on and he is still producing amazing music. He is without doubt the best singer songwriter we have ever seen .
Paul Weller you have excelled yourself with this one. It is relaxing, uplifting and inspiring. Made my day when I heard it and I'm playing it every day. Still and always a fan .
Genius. A master of his craft. His back catalogue is astonishing. Something for everyone, music spanning so many genres, always from the heart. Blessed to have him. Beautiful tune, really uplifting and soulful. England’s finest imo.
@@CIOMBEI In a similar vein, "Frightened" (VH-1), "Light Nights" & "Cold Moments" (Paradiso) and "Invisible" (Later) and "What Would He Say" (Union Chapel) come to mind. All deserve a place on a future collection. Thankfully, the 3CD deluxe box contains the brilliant sounding Mid Sommer Musik session.
Oh Paul , that’ll do me .... you just get better and better, could stretch out in the bath , a glass of wine, close my eyes and sail away listening to this .... ahhhhhh
Tuesday's slow, I just don't know What's happening here at all We go for days without a word Without a kiss Both looking for something that we missed I thought I'd lost you for a while Couldn't find you in a crowd Hey baby, where you been I get so lonely waiting for you Thought you didn't love me anymore I'm gonna keep our eyes on Looking for the good times Trying to stay high on Looking for the glad times Gonna keep my head up Looking for the good times Biding my time Waiting for the glad times Don't break my heart about it Things I can't change I'm try'na make sense of All that remains I got this thing about 'cha I can't change Don't you know I want you baby Just the same From nothing there Something came From nothing there Something came Hey baby, where you been? I get so lonely waiting for you Thought you didn't love me anymore Don't break my heart about it Things I can't change I'm try'na make sense of All that remains I got this thing about 'cha I can't change Don't you know I want you baby Just the same I'm gonna keep my eye on Looking for the good times Gonna hold my head up Looking for the glad times
Who care if he needs a haircut or if he looks old , he keeps doing it maybe not to everyone's tastes but still up there . Good vocals and a good song .

A song writing, continually evolving, never standing still, genius. Delivering ground breaking lyrical and musical excellence for 5 decades. Nuff said.
I have been a Paul Weller fan since 1981 and he has never disappointed. I still think Sure is Sure is a lost classic. The most consistent soulful British artist of the last few decades. This is a hauntingly beautiful melody. Thank you Paul.
Haven’t listened to him in years but he clearly still ‘has it’. This isn’t a competition between young and old, but there’s a special poignancy for those of us older than our 20s who can reflect on good and bad times, that only an older performer understands. For us ‘old foggiest’ I suspect this is an absolutely smashing song.
Soul basically captivates almost every song of Mr Weller’s solo career in some specific and peculiar way. Simply captures with its emotional universalism. Fascinating! 🌹
Best Version (should be on record) WAO WAO !!!, on the first notes i got the Style Council's, "You are the best Thing", but afterwards its all over the place, Lyrics, uplifting beat, Voice lots of soul, R&B, PAUL IS A NEVER ENDING CREATOR. Marvin Gaye, Barry White ,etc most be listening in heaven to this great song, asking how this Brit genius keeps delivering AMAZING SONGS MODFATHER 4 EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
