Very interesting reasoning, I really apprecilove your theories, but this time I find the ending a bit strange: Why should anyone consider the peoples of East Africa to be "stupid" just because they have a calm, balanced and kindly manner of behavior? Conversely, other peoples don't call the Jamaican people "stupid" just because dem shout loudly and creates hype out of many banalities? 😉✌🏻😎
I think her point is that they are considered "stupid" by those with colonizer, or colonized, minds because they are judged by colonizer standards that value hyperactivity, rigidity and conformity, not that they are actually in any way unintelligent.

She mentions right before that Jamaicans should not expect all Africans to be similar to Jamaicans... 😉 But East Africans are also very different from West Africans in this respect. I don't think that Paula still refers everything to "colonialists" like old-fashioned flatheads, because she is smart & educated. It is a general phenomenon that quieter, kindly, more introverted people are more easily underestimated or even thought of as "stupid". But "loudmouths", fakers who make much ado about nothing, are undeservedly valued higher. 🤠🥸💪🏾 But this tends to happen when viewed superficially, while intelligent people can correctly recognize & classify something like this. Ah-ha! I love the Truth of the term "Universal Time" or "Natural Time!" I recall my amazement when a Ghanaian brother made reference to "African Time." What?! So "CP Time" is legitimate, and has its origin from the Motherland? And now, to learn that it is synonymous with the Natural or the Universal, I feel something within click and lock into place. 🤗
