Adams was much better than I expected. No wonder Team Pacquiao did not accept his challenge before. I don't see then IBF 122 champion Manny Pacquiao beating him.
Close fight. I had it even going into the 12th (I scored one round even) and when Ayala spent the 12th on his bicycle, that gave it to Adams. Ayala really didn't want anymore at that point, probably really hurting to the body. It's hard to see how anyone could give Ayala the W. A draw maybe, but many of the rounds that I gave to Ayala were close, whereas Adams won his rounds by bigger margins. Adams landed more, and heavier shots. Part of the reason the judges were swayed was because Ayala landed all his big shots upstairs and that's what people notice. Adams' effective body punching just didn't get the credit it deserved. Also, Ayala tended to be the guy who followed, so instead of noticing Adams' three punch combinations that started the exchanges, the judges picked the one hook Ayala landed a single punch at the end of exchanges. Ayala also threw sweeping hooks that were attention getters.
