Well said mate.anybody who calls a fighter a coward or a 'bum' clearly isnt a real boxing fan.these guys get in the ring with someone who is physically and mentally ready to beat them up,risking their health for our entertainment.i have full respect for anybody that steps into the ring
Paulie is a damn good BOXER, I know casual fans love to see KO's but that is what is great about Boxing you have guys who can KO people quickly then you have guys who use all of their skills to just work you over for 12 rounds Paulie style will keep him around for a LONG TIME because he is skills and his Skills style keeps him from taking the punishment, all these other "Brawlers" careers will be over by the time they are 35 the punches you do see coming are the ones that Knock Out
@richandgaz Ye your spot on,hatton is a perfect example and left warren at the right time,ye he lost the two biggest fights he had but its better to try and fail rather than to not try at all-which would have been the case if he was still with warren.
@TheHitmanKev his punch technique is another reason behind his lack of power.his legs are often too far apart when he throws his punches and that has a detrimental effect on his power
@richandgaz Khan did the right thing leaving warren warren did well to get him his first title shot but after that he would of just been milking the cash cow-seen it before with warren and we will see it again, good job khan realized this early on and didnt get sucked in like a lot of other fighters
@rambo19962007 ok no problem, i wont take a "uturn on my comments" ive stuck by man paulie and never came to disapoint me(only against hatton where i didnt mind who won cause they are surprisingly my favourite fighters who happend to come up against each other) Can i ask you what fights have you seen of Paulie? Ive seen many of Khan too so i know what im talking about
@notsoslick7 agree Warren can be good up until a level for building up domestically and sneaking onto the world scene but for fighters good/ambitious enough to want to fight the very best they need a less selfish promoter
@TheHitmanKev ... I know y u ask me abt which of paulies fights id seen...Ud be surprised, becoz imo the paulie takin on khan on may 15th is a much better paulie then who lost to hatton and cotto... ppl talk abt the pasting he took from hatton, but if u look at round 1 of tht fight... it looked like it was gonna be mayweather-hattton 2 lol... but tht doesnt mean hes not gonna get pasted by khan, khan aint one dimensional like hatton!
@notsoslick7 true but I think people mean comparitavley for example Peter Manfredo Junior, as you rightly say is no bum but a fighter who has gone as far as edging on world class BUT in the company of Lacy (unbeaten/up and coming version), Hopkins, Kessler and Jones he was the weak link on Calzaghe's CV in his final 3 years and compared to the rest of them a bit of a bum
Paulie doesnt really have many ko's at start of his career cuz he fought half of his career with one hand he had problems with his left hand and he broke it many times during a fight
@notsoslick7 agree with the Warren comment fully He seems to be totally arrogant to what fans and fighters want. He sees boxing as entirely a business and simply calculates what will serve him best. I just hope he doesnt keep Kell Brook and Nathan Cleverly from fighting top opponents for too long. That would waste some of the UK's best talent
@richandgaz Ye your right he was a b-level fighter and calzaghe shouldnt have bothered with him at all i agree,he could have fought a much better fighter instead of him but he didnt, unfortunately joe c was still in warrens pocket at the time, and frank warren is a complete twat
