This adventure had quite the variety! In mid March we skied in from 10mile snow park. First we summited Paulina Peak, which was an easy skin up, but offered some awesome views. Next, we skied down the road. This only was Christians 3rd time skiing and she did great! We then crossed the frozen but somewhat slushy lake to find Paulina Hot Springs on the far side. Most of the hot springs were very gross looking, but we found one that was clear and it was a perfect way to end a long day. After an uncomfortable night (due to pitching our tent on a slope and half our mattress pad going flat) we headed back towards civilization. Lastly, we rappelled down and then ice climbed Paulina Creek Falls, which was an epic way to wrap up this adventure. (Who knew giraffes were such good climbers!?) Overall we covered a bit over 20 miles with about 3000 ft of elevation gain.
