Yeah, the closest person to fight Yoel like Costa was whittaker. Both fights whittaker was standing there fighting, especially in the second when he got hurt a few times was still throwing and moving. 💯
And he did it with a smile in his face going forward snd willing to break yoels head with incredible kicks and haymakers, i hope he comes back close to that level(corona and how much he weighted will set him back a few notches tho
Yeah, he had no fear in that fight, unlike Adesanya's fight with Romero. Israel is a very good fighter, but I just see Costa breaking him, especially with how much he dislikes him.
@@dalermehndi4663 im ceetainly ready as anyone to see what really happens. Izzy knows hes got quite a challenge in front of him but we also know how Izzy works when he wants something
He's already given Tony the compliment of being the toughest and strongest will sportsperson in all of sports,he said that in a tweet once. He did say that Tony may not be the smartest though 😂
watch how certain fighters react in yoel fights like their body language, like weidman ,luke, tim Kennedy. ect. costa was walking down yoel like no has, not evem izzy had the balls or body. tony is tough but he also quits as well
Love the Costa content, how can a person not enjoy watching him fight. As many have said, he beats up people like they owe him money. Entertaining in and outside the ring.
@lo You know how I know that story is nonsense? Because the first person who broke into your house would immediately steal your cardboard Chael cutout knowing that it will be an invaluable ancient relic that people will want to worship upon Chael's unfortunate passing.
@@shubhamchaturvedi4858 because He said he hasn't been this hyped since Khabib vs Tony. Then you comment Porier vs hooker, how can you be hyped when the fight already happened
@@ilikecommenting6849 If you watch the fight properly, Costa tripped and immediately stood up unlike Romero who ACTUALLY got dropped yet he continued on like the beast he is.
Absolutely, you obviously saw him beat the shit out of mayweather jr too? Wait a minute, I got that wrong, it was Mayweather sr and he beat the shit out of Zelenof.
Haven't heard this story before but certainly makes me appreciate him more than prior to hearing it, Mike Bisping said that 2 of the most important things are heart and dedication... and it sounds like he has both. Great story Chael.
Parma zyxwvu True, but I’m sure they were surprised when Uncle Chael caught them in bed with the Nogueria brothers working on their “Jui Juitsu”.......
@@ri5clipsrl664 Costa started training bjj at the age of 13. His older brother, Borracha, is now his bjj coach. Eric Albaracin is his wrestling coach. I wish he put Adesanya down for a bjj roll.
Congrats Chael for recognizing the super hard work Paulo Costa puts on on himself,he’s an inspiration,he’s awesome!!!! A true Brazilian who never gives up !!!! Oss
@@Lethalbanter To the contrary, my perspicacious little RU-vid philosopher. I am laughing at Costa's jokes, hence his mention and the utilization of quotation marks. But go ahead, use that discerning brain of yours to litter the comments with inane assumptions and unsolicited, prosaic repartees.
@chaelsonnen , I really enjoy how you tell story's, Chael. Mostly just about the fight game, but I've listened to you talk more pedestrian day to day thing's that any one can relate and it turns out you good at telling those, as we'll. Your ability to communicate is your gift. Sometimes you can come across as 100% serious but you will have laughing my ass off. You need to be the narrative voice for the entire history of combat. I know it's a ton of work but it's what you do and there would be no better person to attempt it.
@Mirai*Santos Costa gave the compliment to Tony Ferguson in a tweet once. He said that he's the toughest man in all of sports,he also said that he may not be the smartest though lol,he said that quite some time before the gaethje fight and it was a funny tweet because he complimented him in highest of ways while throwing shade on Tony's intelligence, some people got mad about that
@Jude Broussard when I think tough I think durability and heart and not much else. Hard to put away also comes to mind tony ferguson checks all these boxes. What do you think tough stands for? Talks the most shit?
I'm going to go for a pick I'm sure few will agree with but the indestructible mark hunt. His longevity in the heavyweight division will not be easily repeated, fought everyone. Juiced or not. Savage
Love this..chael always says it how it is n doesn't pick and choose who his favorite fighter is..as much as people dislike costa and usman they are my guys and I appreciate videos like this
The biggest part of Costa that Americans underestimate is his intelligence and mental acuity regarding cutting edge fitness and diet techniques, that is crossing over to fight techniques. And people are making a mistake by the “Ricky Martin wannabe” trolling, as his natural looks are different than his personality. He’s less flamboyant than his upcoming opponent as far as that goes. He’s still the underdog, but I think we could be in line for multiple fights between these two guys. Another trilogy in the making
Matthew Anthony I know they do, I’m one of them. My point is English-speaking monoglots tend to underestimate him based on broken English, and most liberal Americans love Adesanya and his BLM-speachifying. They also attack Costa for his public support of Bolsonaro. I really mean English speakers rather than just Americans. By cutting edge programs, I mean he’s brought nutrition and certain muscularity training programs that are prevalent in body building but not widespread in MMA yet. People tend to underestimate him as a “power lifter” that looks like Ricky Martin, while they praise Adesanya for his “high fight IQ”, when the opposite between the two is more accurate. Perhaps that simplifies it for you
That's not fair dudes, can you imagine training for a fight in the fall in April with a camp starting in July? The guy trained 6 days a week, and 5 days a week he trained 2 days a week, so 6 days a week.
1. Toughest guy in MMA- Lawler or Hendo 2. Strongest guy in MMA according to his victims- Jon Jones 3. Hardest hitter in MMA- Ngannou 4. Best BJJ in MMA- Werdum 5. Best all around MMA fighter and GOAT- GSP 6. greatest legend who paved the way and greatest HW of MMA- Fedor 7. Greatest Striker in MMA- Extremely debatable, could be Israel or The Spider but I dont know 8. Greatest wrestler of MMA- Debatable, I'd say DC although the motherfucker wouldn't wrestle Stipe
@@u.r.i.a.h. could be one day. I'd say Jake Sheilds was a better wrestler/grappler before Usman. DC is clearly better then Usman along with Yoel and Jones.
@@u.r.i.a.h. hell, I'd say Chael is better considering he beat the shit out of Silva for 5 rounds. Usman has fought good wrestlers not great wrestlers. I 100% guarantee a prime Sheilds destroys Usman at Grappling.
@@u.r.i.a.h. Khabib's a good one so is Cejudo. Your joking right? DC and Yoel were top Olympic Wrestlers. in reality 1 on 1 DC would trash Usman. The fact that there have been better grapplers in the WW division is why Usman wouldn't even make it into my top 5 greatest wrestlers of MMA. Like I said Jake Sheilds would have out grappled Usman.
There was this bad ass Costa highlight on RU-vid, and the beginning opened up with Uncle Chael talkin about Costa. I can't find it anymore does anyone know if they took it down?
Been a Izzy fan since his days fighting in small tournaments in NZ. I have respect for Costa, The man has worked very hard at this craft to the point where he's also learning English to better sell his fights, also to talk shit to Izzy. We're gonna be in for a great fight, glad I took time off to watch it 🤙🤙🤙🤙🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿
RDA is the toughest fighter in the UFC. The man never turned down a fight and will take fights that are horrible matchups. He has consistently fought the best of the best.
