Leon don’t want that fight. He could’ve fought wonderboy when wonderboy was ranked # 2 at the time he choose to fight Gunnar Nelson. Leon was ranked like 10 who turns down that fight. That’s why Wonderboy fought Pettis nobody would fight him. Now that Leon is ranked higher don’t see that happening. It is the fight that makes sense with Jorge booked.

This shows you how off-base the UFC is. Its all calculated to maximize profits. I don't care to look up the parent organization name, but their finances aren't good. The Lorenzos should have never sold. This means booking money fights instead of real fights. They are desperate. I don't like Dana, but he should be the owner calling the shots based on real fights, not just what's going to maximize revenues.

Why? Jorge was doing just fine off the Till and Askren hype he was on before the Diaz fight. He already had beef with Usman and Colby, he was already positioned for the title fight after the Askren fight, and took the Diaz fight over a title shot because it was easy and more money for him. Diaz owe masvidal and new York a thanks for keeping him relevant and saving face, stopping the fight when they did.

Who actually wants this? It’s just a bonus fight for the UFC. If Masvidal wins, they get Jorge vs Edwards. If Nate wins, they get the Conor trilogy right on time for fans to come back. @@Leg3ndKilla687 No. In second fight all 3 judges gave 3 rounds to Conor. Just because one judge gave Nate a 10-8 round and it was a draw on his scorecard doesn't mean Nate won the fight. None of the judges had him as a winner and only Conor haters think he won the fight. And i say this as a big Diaz fan.

@@Mcfc2Rich Jorge should rematch Wonderboy. That's the fight that will show us many things about this "new" Jorge Masvidal. If he loses again then he is obviously same Jorge that lost over 10 times in his career, but if he wins then he will prove that he really got better.

I'm sure jorge couldn't care any less about edwards, its just something that happened, that was caught on camera, which is probably the only reason why people think its an important thing that happened.

Every legit welterweight has man handled Nate, Perry is also a tank, the slap boxing will only make him mad and come harder at nate, nate probably won't be able to absorb those types of shots for long either; and Perry doesn't gas hard either. The ways people beat Perry is by outsmarting and point fighting him. Luque barely edge a decision going toe to toe and he's is just as durable and a heavier hitter than Nate. Nate would get a good beating from someone like a Perry or legit welterweight.

Masvidal cracks Diaz again (single tear), and Leon Edwards takes on Wonderboy. The winners fight for a chance at the belt, since there’s usually a long break for Usman or a new champ slow turnaround. If Wonderboy is out for a while and Gilbert loses, match them up. Done

X Æ A-12 Masvidal and Diaz are already matched up. You gotta argue that with Dana. My suggested matchups allow for a top level showcase for Edwards to match up with Masvidal for a title shot. If Wonderboy is too old at 37, it’s supposedly easy money for Edwards.

Yes, he was offered a fight early on but UFC wasn't willing to pay him the money he was demanding si he declined the fight. When they offered him the right money he took it. They are all professionally trained fighters this is their job so he is not ducking. We don't know what goes on behind the cameras
