He definitely looks quite godly here. The funny thing is, back in '92, they looked like anything but rock stars. People probably thought that they looked like a bunch of dorks. And they probably were a bunch of dorks.
NEVER before has another person in this worldlife of ours, ever conveyed such brilliance in one simple single sentence. 8 years ago.....? Yep still this is a true sentiment, no doubt about it, mang!
I love how unnecessary, and yet amazing it is that they have two drummers. Also crazy that Malkmus plays lead and sings. Sounds suspiciously like hard work from a so-called 'slacker'!!!!!
Gary young was the main drummer, but he kept on getting wasted at shows so they needed a back up which eventually became main when Gary got fired 93? Malkmus does play rhythm but sometimes mimicks spirals lead
I think the 00's and the 10's will prove in time to have born some good music, it's just that often it takes a while for defining music of an era to be recognised for it's genius - The Velvet Underground for example.
Everything from Pavement, Nirvana, Fu Manchu, Quicksand, Clutch, Kyuss... I could go on forever. It was the best decade for music, hands fucking down. And I wish we could do it again. Kids have no appreciation for what real music is.
FUCK, YES. Somebody please put this and the '92 Brixton Academy show on DVD. Breaks my heart that Slow Century has those two tragic shows at the end of the TT tour when they were worn out and sick instead of the entire Brixton Academy show, which they must have had the rights to or they couldn't have included the clips in the documentary.
@crackityjones777 Haha so true. Kings of Leon is god awful. I saw a live performance on tv the other night and honestly Pavements musicianship was somehow lightyears above them haha
