A beautiful driveway completed by truly a group of professionals who not only know and understand, but love the work and finished product they provide for their customers. GREAT job guys. Did paving back in the 80's in Brandon, Manitoba. I too enjoyed it and the experience and joy from it has never been forgotten.
Would love to see more paving work. Love how you took the video and the quality of the shots of the "PAVING" job was great. It also was great to see Dale the owner of WCI since I've seen his trucks roll in your yard for loam. Keep up the great work and less videos per week are better since they are more quality enriched!!!
Ive seen come people actually have an older paver that they strictly use for grading base but i wouldnt ever use the same paver on base as i would on asphalt
The company I used to work for, we used to do it with an old paver for base and finish grade stone... which we call 304 and 411 limestone here in Ohio. But we wouldn't do it with the same paver for paving a drive for fear of stone getting caught somewhere and ending up in the mat to dig out, fill in and rake leaving a seedy spot. Doing it the way they do it, isn't much worse than running asphalt through it, but definitely want a clean hot screed to start so I wouldn't recommend it.
This driveway paving video is absolutely captivating! I was hooked from the start. Watching the transformation of a worn-out driveway into a sleek surface is so satisfying. The attention to detail and precision are commendable. The visuals are captivating, and the narration explains each step of the process, making it informative and engaging.
Hi man, liking your videos. Trust me. As a coating plant batcher the customer will always complain if the tar/asphalt is too cold. They NEVER complain if it keeps their toes toasty. Especially in Scotland!!!!
I hear ya with Andrew and he reminds me of me when I started about his age. But damn he sure is hard on his equipment at times, but getting better! Yet, I give him a ton of credit as when I comment on his videos, I always give him good sound advice which he has pinned or highlighted a lot of them. He also normally responds to my comments. But that boy can fix anything! I did a lot of my own repairs until I was able to hire a mechanic. That is where he had me. Andrew does pretty damn good work and not afraid to try or test new things! Love his channel!
Thank you I looking forward into the future to start a career in doing highways. And yes I watched your video untill the end good bless you and thank you
I just found this video I love watching companies pay driveways and highways so I don't know if you'll see this but hell yeah I love watching these videos keep them up
Good eye. I ran a paving crew for several years so one thing I can say is it’s hard to control 8 guys 😂 if I had a dime every time I did my job and 4 others and then did my final walk around and found a boot print or something stupid like that 🤬 Over all they did a nice job definitely above average.
Great video. Sure yous will get a lot more customers off of the back of this. You explain the job well. Pity yous are do far away from 🏴 really as iv a large driveway needing done 🙄😁 great team there by the way.
We have that here too in the State Nic. There is a big group of gypsies or what is known as the "travelers" based out of the Carolinas and super easy to spot! They have super fancy nice trucks, small paver like a Leeboy 8500, nice trailer and rollers. But yeah they rip people off all of the time and homeowners don't know any better! Like they tell them they are going to lay an inch and a half "loose" and then when compacted, they end up with an inch and a quarter, which like you said, in a few months it is breaking up or by next spring at the lastest.
We did it all the time with road base, we would do it much faster then the dirt division and with better results in time and quality. Water spray your paver afterwards and lube it ready for the asphalt.
We have a guy here in Ct that waits 30-45 days of the homeowner driving on it, then paves. Says it keeps the wheel tracks from sinking in as little as possible.
Now when said about the Cat roller having better compaction with the tires, that's not the purpose of a rubber tire or pneumatic roller, its main purpose is to squeeze the heat out of the mat, by not only the weight of it but the rubber absorbs the heat so the steel drum rollers can compact it, the asphalt has 3 temp ranges when to breakdown, compact, and finish.
That’s a weiler paver.would have saved a lot of time and energy by putting stone in paver and then running over the stone. For those who may say it would hurt the paver it doesn’t. Asphalt is made out of stone .Looks like a nice job👍Nice equipment but I wouldn’t bother with the roller with tires on it.
