Twenty-four musicians from a community of Brooklyn bands said goodbye to Greenpoint’s intimate music venue, the Manhattan Inn, with this George Harrison cover. When the band Pavo Pavo and the Swimmers art collective heard that the venue would be shutting down, they had the idea to call up some friends and film a video to commemorate the space. Members of Lucius, Delicate Steve, San Fermin, Alpenglow, Uni Ika Ai, Wilder Maker, Antibalas, Underground System, and many others dressed in white and tore through a rendition of Harrison’s wall-of-sound masterpiece “Wah-Wah.” With that they said goodbye to a venue that has provided a space for countless unique, unforgettable shows performed by and for a community of musicians.
