Robert Plant performs Whole Lotta Love at 6 Music Live. Visit the BBC Radio 6 Music website for more videos and photos from this year's 6 Music Live www.bbc.co.uk/6music
For an epic rock singer like Plant, he must have really took care of his vocal chords over the years. It is rare a rock voice is so good still. We are lucky.
Actually he didn't. His voice was absolutely shot by 1973. He had vocal surgery at one point around then. He lost significant range over the years. What's amazing is, he's actually gained much of it back. His voice is smoother now than it was in the 80's.
@@94nolo I noticed that too. His vocals in the 2007 live show are much better than the live aids concert. That was an embarrassment tbh. Only good member was jones at the time.
Hes over 70 Years old right? Just amazing voice unbelievable amazing!!! he’s a legend of Rock Music !! and live his voice is much better than most artists now !!
Plant's range was at its absolute peak between 1969 and 1973, but he's retained that same spark in his voice ever since. Incredible singer for any age, let alone a 70-year old man.
Awww,sweetie,just bc we get old(myself included)our vocal chords(if we’re lucky,lol)stay intact! Mine are shot,but after all….he’s ROBERT PLANT!👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
It pisses me off that he sounds so good, because it just makes me long for a reunion even more. It’s such a no brainer! Everyone is alive except one, and we have Jason Bonham.
How on earth his voice is still so good is beyond me. He knows exactly how high he can reach at his age, and has modified his signing to adjust to his age, whereas so many great singers still try to do what they did in their 20s & 30s with often less-than-great results.
Plant is a former shadow of himself. He was the worst member of Zeppelin . Mind you, he did sing good a few times live and was great in recordings.....he is the most untalented of the rest of the band....Hate his gay stage antics tho.
Well some of those riffs were Jonesy's or cowritten by Jonesy: Good Times Bad Times How Many More Times No Quarter Heartbreaker Moby Dick Celebration Day Black Dog In The Evening South Bound Saurez Fool In The Rain Misty Mountain Hop The Crunge The Ocean Trampled Underfoot Royal Orleans And well I guess one or two were stolen: Dazed and Confused Black Mountain Side
I love the fact that he is constantly changing the arrangements. Unlike the other musicians, he did not chose to remain in the 70s but to evolve as a musician, and that is definitely a good thing.
This was BBC Radio 6 Music Live 2017 at Maida Vale Studios in London. BBC 6 Music were giving away 300 free tickets in a lottery. Thousands of people entered. Against all odds we (my wife and I) won 2 tickets to the event. It was the most amazing performance. We arrived early and managed to get a position a mere 3 feet from the great man. Absolutely fantastic. There are very few musicians with such star quality. He's always been a great hero of mine. An unforgettable experience.
This is awesome..I love this arrangement! Kudos to Robert Plant for continuing to move forward and always keeping us entertained. He can still rock like the Golden God that he is. ✌️❤️
how old is this dude ? dont answer i know , what is not widely known is he drinks virgins blood every morning ! how else would he still have a voice like this /
I’m honesty impressed that he still can sing like that, even after years upon years of raw emotion coming out during performances, I’m surprised he hasn’t had serious damage done to his vocal chords like some other artists, it’s killer
He doesn't need to play Zeppelin back catalogue, his own material is strong enough and deep enough to fill a set list. Having said that Misty Mountain Hop from this gig was amazing. Hats off to him for still moving in a forward direction with his music.... legend!
Robert seems to always make things fresh! This is fabulous!!! Still wish he’d Jimmy, John Paul and Jason every once and a while for good old times sake!
Some artists just speak to you with everything they do, plant gives music your not even looking for, but are so thankful to receive it. He continues to amaze.... and the older he gets, somehow the better he gets..
Wow! Just fucking WOW! What a fantastic version of one of my all time favourite songs. Robert’s voice is still golden. And the violin was a beautiful addition.
He still got it , let´s put it in this way he has that extremely amazing & perfect good voice but he needs the wonderful sound of Jimmy Page it´s so notorious that his voice needs that music
I can't stand the musicians with him. They are incredibly great but, seriously, where's that magic feeling Jimmy allways gave? I remember seeing Robert live and his eyes literally burned with passion when he played Zeppelin songs.
LedMatt94 Jimmy gave the magic too right this is decent but lacks the blast that Jimmy can give if I was 90 and well beat with pains Jimmy would make you get up out of the chair and rock again
Gawd damn! I had nothing but smiles on my face seeing Plant there still oozing that swag. His vocals have essentially been the same since almost the Fate of Nations album. Just amazing!
Joe malam he had surgery after houses of holy I believe (don’t quote me on that), he lost a lot of his range because of it. Robert was always very health conscious towards his voice, maybe not so much towards the rest of his body though.
Hi Mari, i can see that you like the good music. I recommend you the next tribute to LED ZEPPELIN: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gfSHhqzaioM.html Do you agree that it is the best tribute to this band?
We learned about gratitude and humility - that so many people had a hand in our success, from the teachers who inspired us to the janitors who kept our school clean... and we were taught to value everyone's contribution and treat everyone with respect. And I want to specially appreciate you for being a big fan. Thanks for your love and nice comments on my post, it means a lot to me and I would like to know more about you and how long you have been a good fan of mine Okay then I will direct you to my gmail address platform where we talk more on my leisure hour. Best Regards.Text: Robertplant0099@gmail.com 🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼
It’s amazing-as soon as Robert Plant opens his mouth, you instantly know it’s him whether you can see him or not. Absolutely a Legend! Sounds great even now and has always been Sexy af!
God I would love to go, but those tickets would sell out so quickly and they would be so expensive to get decent seats. That’s what sucks about big bands and stadium concerts.
He said going on tour again would go back on everything they said after John died. I respect them for that but I would pay a significant amount of money to see them live. I wasn’t alive when they were on top of the world. Born in ‘89.
Almost not fair to compare this band to Led Zeppelin. (arguably the best rock/blues band ever. But I think this band performs quite well. And Plant's voice seems to be holding out quite well
Lukasz Mazurek ticket prices here in los angeles are outrageously expensive. he is playing at a small venue and you cant a ticket for under $500, and that is for the far back ones. i wont be able to go.
Aw now come on fans.. things can't stay the same forever and ever. Who knows why Jimmy isn't doing this with him still? The fact is that Robert is still performing quite well! Anyway, our Bonzo has been gone many a year now. Nothing could EVER be quite the same without him. Who could even imagine Led Zeppelin without John Bonham's thunderous drums? I think Robert is marvelous still. Truly. Hope he can perform for many years to come! Bright blessings to all. 😊😚❤
Tiana Sixkiller I totally agree. They absolutely made the right decision to not carry on after Bonham’s death. They all needed each other. It’s like trying to use a chair with only three legs after one of them has been knocked off. If any one of the four legs of the Zeppelin chair fell off the band would be over immediately.
For all we know Jimmy could be on the other side of the world chillin on his couch watching his grandkids have fun... honestly he probably gives two fucks about re doing Zeppelin tracks.
Well-said! In fact, I was gonna post my surprise at the sort-of cynicism here. Those comments sound disappointingly like standard-level Internet snark: reactionary jabs for the sake of jabbing, irrespective of the subject. It can’t be overstated: rock stars get older and are subject to the same aging effects as everyone. We can never have those youthful experiences again. The fact that Plant sounds really good here- no one can deny that you could close your eyes and believe the ‘70s Robert somehow returned- is more than merely sounding good FOR HIS AGE. The man has taken care of his voice, and it shows. And yes, the point is well-taken that a whole lotta... current singers just don’t have what he still has. Getting old may suck, but at this moment, we can still enjoy walking the Earth with legends!
The God of vocals Robert plant. Thank you for blessing us with this remix of whole lotta love. I love how he adds a different feel to it in the middle. This man is the definition of music god!
Amazing! 🔥 Robert Plant and the Sensational Spaceshifters! My husband and I have seen them three times, Love them! Can’t wait for their return to the stage and a live audience!......Pure Joy and Rock @4:19!
