When shopping for guitar effects pedals at the local pawn shops in Midland Texas but found a great deal on a guitar that I just couldn’t pass up! Shoutout to Geenalee1! She’s an amazing musician and awesome friend! / geenalee1
I literally just bought a Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass V for $430 in excellent condition. That same weekend I bought a Japanese Fender Kurt Cobain Mustang for $200. Both at pawn shops. There are deals out there. I actually been to the pawn shop where that epi was purchased. I bought a nice USA Std Tele for $310 at that same Pawn Shop.
@@XHuntinatorX Most of the deals I've gotten at pawn shops have been priced great from the very start. I track their website daily and score the deals usually the same day they are posted. They don't really haggle with you until the item has been out for at least a month. Cash America actually has a 20% discount that takes affect every 90 days, so the price of any item automatically falls as time progresses. The best deals don't really last but a day or two, which is why people say their are no good deals anymore. You really have to consistently look to find a great deal.
I'm glad there aren't more pawn shops in my area, I've said to myself many times "shouldn't have done it" but when you find a good deal, ya just have to do it!
Sweet Axe SG !!!!!! Hell of a deal !!!!!! Looked like a "Screaming Hot" Shopping Day~~ both with the Heat and the SG Deal !!!!!! Fun Video there EJ thanks for The Shout out \m/Rock*On\m/ !!!!!!
Right on my extremely talented friend! You definitely deserve some recognition. I love shopping, Especially for music gear! Thanks for Rockin out with me Gee-Lee!🤘🏼
I subbed just because you were in Midland. There are pawn shops in Odessa too, don't give up...You might want to carry a gun in Ector county though. LOL
Gotta say I enjoyed the trip around town. Great idea! & ,,,,, He Scores!!! That is about the best looking Epi Sg I've ever seen. Beats a lot of Gibby's.
Yes sir! SGs are da bomb diggity! I’m thinking of getting the Electro Harmonix Freeze Sound Retainer, you ever tried one? Thanks for checking it out dude!
Texas Burger is Da Bomb Diggity! Thanks man! I sure wish I could’ve found some pedals though. I ended up going to the music store and buying a Boss Blues Driver and a Walrus Fathom reverb...I wasn’t going home without some pedals!🤣 I’m thinking of getting the Electro Harmonix Freeze, have you ever ever tried one? Thanks for checking it out dude!
EJ’s Guitars I’ve never tried it but I’ve heard nothing but good things. Man pedals are the biggest addiction I swear man! I’m getting into recording stuff myself right now but my previous addiction was pedals lol
Kickin chicken at that pawn shop! Congrats!! They don’t have pedals in TX pawn shops? Wtf?!?! Lemme tell ya, you should look fir a BBE Sonic Stomp pedal!! 😁🤘🏻🤘🏻
I bought a new Epi SG Pro just like yours and paid just over 500.00 about 3 years ago. I think the Epiphone case was another 140.00 or so. I'm an AC/DC fan so of course mine is black, I do play it through a Marshall, I just can't play Like Angus. You got a good deal.
I got a G310 for 96$.It has a invader pickup at the bridge And has been upgraded with new pots and orange caps.Im not a guitar player (Bass player)but it's my favorite 6 string.🤘🤠🤘 Howdy from Funky Town!!
Damn, you missed the inspired by gibson headstock by 1 year!!! I like the old Epi's though. their are some jewels out there if you know what year and model you are looking for. A lot of them are loaded with gibson pickups and long neck tenons.
I picked up a fender reissue Stratocaster 91 here in Alabama for 150 sounds ridiculous but the finish was chipped real bad and they thought because the neck was so sticky and the decal was on top of the finish it was a Chinese copy , got it with fender g&g case for that price 👍
Texas burger? Woooooo hooooo. What is not to like about this video? San Antonio is the hottest place I have ever been. I liked it though. Watch something might bite you in that pocket. Great deal. Is that a little Ibanez chorus pedal? Learned to play drums, awesome jams, great deal on an ep? You are living the dream my friend.
Yeah, it’s the Ibanez Chorus mini, very cool pedal. You know, I was kind of worried about putting my hand in that pocket...I’m glad I did though. Thanks for checking it out dude!✌🏼😎
Yesterday I lucked into a 2005 HSS mex strat with Grover locking tuners and a tweed hardshell case for $200, a friend got an American strat and was going to sell it and said he wanted me to have it because I been playing a bullet strat and a stagg lp, but I had no money so he was going to take it the next day to someone else if I couldn't get the $. I had given up and then a couple hours later I showed my cousin a pic of the guitar and said what a deal it was and he blew my mind by offering to loan me the money so I got on the phone and 30 minutes later I had my Mexican strat plugged into my Eleven Rack and 212 jamming. I started work on my cousin's farm today, lol
Lay away let’s one pay out a purchase over time, but the product remains in store until paid off. Thanks for checking it Alex! It’s always a pleasure seeing you drop by. Hope you’re doing well my friend!
I've been buying from pawn shops for decades. I try to get to know the people in a shop. E.g. I'm a photographer and a woman in one shop loves phitography. So we chat about that. She offers me great deals without me having to haggle. I speak in Spanish as much as I can if they are latino. My general advice is to offer half of the price they ask. Pawn shops pay very little for things and often the item you love is something ttey want to dump. Don't be afraid to hold your ground and walk...they nay meet your price. There are plenty if bargain guitars out there. Don't fall in love with anything if your goal is to get a great deal. Also if you can adjust and repair a guitar that gives you IMMENSE bargaining power. To me a new potentiometer is a $2 repair. Point out to them that it is a BROKEN guitar. Tell them (nicely) they should never have bought it but you can take it off their hands.
It doesn’t look as refined as the Gibson, but it does have a thicker body which I prefer. I have fully put the pickups through their paces yet, but I will! Thanks for checking it out Mitch!
Hi there , i didnt came from US , and im confused with the price tag on the Epiphone SG , how to read the price ? 09/04 = 240$ ? and then 12/03 become 192 and so on
out in IL. all the Pawn Shops go off of eBay listings of the same items. say that SG you were looking at. you know they didn't pay $300 for it. they most likely paid less than half for it. they will look on eBay as the seller is standing there and will base what they can give and get for it. i always take my cellphone to Pawn Shops and look the item i am interested in on eBay and i know how much I can haggle with the price. i have a friend who use to work a American Pawn. he was a buyer for the store. they look on eBay at the high used price on something like that SG sold for and if condition is good or great. the pawn shop will try to get the same price for that item, but screw the seller of that item. a place out here called Cash Converters would really f@ck over everyone selling and buying. you got that SG for under $300... you did good. just check out eBay next time you go pawn hunting. show them what that item sold for at its low ball price in good or great condition. cuz you know they didn't pay much for it.
One of the pawn shops I went to had a Roland Octapad electronic drum module for $850!😱 I already have one, paid just under $700 brand new for it. Yep, you’re right, they can be pretty shiesty. But that was a good deal on the Epiphone!🤘🏼😙🤘🏼 Thanks for checking it out Eric!
