And it is not a "signet ring" to do imprints as the large protruding stone would totally prevent it. Wondering if he tried to sell at auction and failed. The first negative I heard was saying he could not mention a name. Hindsight... if he researched that ring extensively, I'm almost sure he found that mob museum. Interesting story. I was curious at the ruby eyes and diamond. If they were Burma, that would be a plus. My brother in law works for a recycling company out of Holland & they once sent him to New York City(where the majority of waste disposal companies are mafia owned)& a guy named "Louie" gave him a $100 tip & a sandwich. The reason he didn’t give any specific names outside of Lucky Luciano is simple. If he ratted out any names, he’d be in the back of a trunk and never seen again by the the end of the week, along with his mother for breaking the mobs trust. Also the reason their is no paper work or easy way to authenticate it is because the mob wouldn’t want anything that can trace back to them.
