Despite the mistake i understand him cause that console was sold in 99 dollars in the 1972. Thats why magnavox actually lost to atari. Also compared to atari magnavox barely had graphics which is why its not very attractive. Great for history not for value.

No it's not I have 3 of them it's worth about 50 bucks with mint box..I e tried all different angles. Nobody wants it...this guy's box was a little ruff 25 bucks was about right.. I found 3 of these and a closed coleco vision also with box at a salvage store in 2001 and bought all of them for 50 bucks with games...I am an Atari guy ..thought I hit the jackpot. Had them on eBay ..buy it now price went from 3 to 2 to 50 bucks. No one ever bought them. This was in 2018. Tried a local gamer store kinda like a game stop. Guy didn't even want them...things are only worth what somebody is willing to pay

It's literally just a pong console. Plus, nobody remembers the Odyssey 200. If it was an Odyssey 1 in really good condition it could probably get 400-500 dollars. That's the one everybody knows and remembers. Even an Odyssey 2 is closer to what you're saying. The guy with 3 200s is right. Literally just a pong console.

I mean, it wasn't even the second Magnavox console. The Odyssey 200 is actually the third console from Magnavox as the successor to the Odyssey 100, which itself was a cheaper, stripped-down Odyssey. The original Odyssey lasted about three years and then got replaced by the 100 in 1975, and then by the extensive line of Odyssey consoles that followed.

If I saw a piece like that at a garage sale, I wouldn’t even consider offering $25 OR $75. That’s just insulting to both the item and seller. I think $200 would be a fair price.

This is the odyssey 200 and it was released in 1975. The original was released in 1972.

25 is lowballing but those aren’t really worth near 350 brand new never opened. Rare doesn’t really mean big price. I got a Magnavox odyssey 500 never been opened for around 50 at a pawn shop about 5 years ago. So he could have gotten maybe 30 to 40 if he was lucky

Ok a couple of things.... One this is worth a LOT more than 25 bucks, especially complete in box like that. Second this system is not the 1972 Odyssey so I don’t know why Corey brought that one up Don’t know why Chum didn’t say anything he probably knew a lot more about this stuff than Corey does.

Those vintage consoles are never worth much except for the special edition versions. The Pikachu Special Edition N64 is worth more than an Atari 2600

The guy asked for way too much, considering I paid 280 for my ORIGINAL Odyssey with all the accessories and the rare carrying case. It hasn’t got any historical value it wasn’t the first, it was one of the original Odysseys successors and while it’s an early video game it’s not the first video game. A much more historical console from 1975 would be the original Sears Pong unit made by Atari (branded by Sears).

Just cause it wasn't the first doesn't eliminate it's historical value. The only reason it is worth around 50 dollars and is not thrown out is because of it's historical value...
