@@mam362 the experts he calls in have their own reputations to keep. They don't represent the pawn shop, they represent their own companies. Conflict of interest is something like if a PSA authenticator happens to own stocks in that pawn shop, then legally and ethically, he can't authenticate the pieces himself. Pro food critics can't critique their own personal restaurants, that's a better example of conflict of interest.

He's a pawn shop and thats an investment. It could take months to sell. He isn't trying to make a grand off something that might sit around for several months, that would be stupid.

Every time Rick says he has to reframe something someone should tell him "that's your freakin business not mine, take that out of your own money" that painting is already framed and he's selling it as is.

you're welcome to walk out if you don't like the deal. I doubt Rick is gonna beg you to stay. Frankly if you talked to me like that in my shop, I'd tell you to take your shit and get out. especially if you're as succesful as Rick. he doesn't need 1 guy's item.
