dude even the appraiser said 75k, Rick tried to low ball him to 52k lol. then when dude asked for 70k which is a loss to him since the appraiser said 75k, rick told him 52k, lol. like gtfo. At least offer him 60k, he could easily had flip that for 75k.

You do understand that a pawn shop has to resell the item. If 75k is the retail price, he has to get it for a bit lower than that so that he can resell it and get around 75k. I am not saying I agree with the price, I am just explaining how buying and reselling works.. lol

stuff like this needs to be in an auction to make money on it. In a cyber/syfi auction this stuff could go anywhere from 10k to 500k just depends on the day the people and the demand but auctions are very risky. Cause 10k-500k is a huge difference that's why rick can get away with lowballing cause 52k is alot better than 10k and most people don't wanna deal with auctions

A lot of these experts say right around or just under what the person is asking for them. Which gives the seller confirmation and loosens them up. Then Rick makes his case and automatically gets 20-40% off their asking price. I know it's just a show, but kinda seems that he calls the expect to script a dialogue. I'm sure these experts get a portion of the profits for their "efforts."

I watch a lot of my favorite movies and shows over and over, but i don’t think I’ve ever watched something a thousand times... The first film, the original Star Wars film was 2 hours and 5 minutes. Watching it a thousand times would be 2083.33 hours, almost 87 days of A New Hope. Awesome collection, all I want to know is what movie is his favorite.

Okay this makes no sense. I just watched a clip where a _single_ Boba Fett prototype figure was offered $100k but these props _directly from the original movies_ are only worth $75k? Seems a bit off if you ask me. I also find it odd how the "expert's" appraisal is almost always just under the asking price.

I don’t think you know how a pawn shop works. If he gives the dude $80,000 and sells it for $80,000, he makes no money. However, if he pays $50,000 for it and sells it for $80,000, he makes $30,000. That’s why they offer less. Every pawn shop or reseller will do this
