Old Man had me rolling when he called him a McQueen wanna be. Rick was so happy to get that car. He would have paid more. Was fun to watch. Great video
You can tell Shelby guy wasn’t expecting 100k but still tried to get more. Well done anchoring the asking price so high that the buyer felt in an awkward spot offering 100k. Lots of phycology involved in negotiating
The show changed a lot over the years. Rick made so much money from the tv show he just buys everything that he finds cool and pays top dollar. The negotiating part is secondary to the history lessons we all learn.
More and more so. It's getting to be where it costs 30k+ to own just about any classic that's in good running and driving condition and hasn't been modified. People are cutting the wheel wells on 55 year old cars just to jam big ugly wheels onto them.
"I turned down $500,000 for the bronco". "Alex ill take things that didn't happen for $500,000". No guy looking like him turned down $500k for ANY REASON. Point Blank Period
Yeah and historically the slowest Bronco ever recorded. Or maybe not, they are junk so it might have been flat out?The whole O.J. thing only adds a few hundred dollars to Blue Book value in the who cares market... LMFAO
Because of the historic value of the slow chase that O.J. drove that bronco in that millions of people saw it holds interest for collectors, but that guy needs to put it up for auction or find the right buyer really soon. Because like @Balance already said the longer you wait the Wow factor is going to go away in collector's minds for it pretty quickly, we are getting close to that chase having taken place almost 30 years ago.

The Gone in Sixty Seconds car was a GT500, not a GT350. Of course that was a prop made car too. The thing that makes the GT350 so famous is its racing pedigree. Gone in Sixty Seconds didn't do anything for the 350 despite the similar bloodline.
It's literally the same car. Only difference between the 350 & 500 is the supercharger. Other than that everything is the exact same. Now a days they make the 500 with a slightly wider body but again everything is exactly alike except for the supercharged engine!! So it's fair to say Cage made it repopular. Also Ford doesn't make 350's & 500's in the same year. They do one per year. So 2010 they make 350s then 2011 they'll make 500s. Just adding that info

They probably don't want you to see that. After they buy something for cheap saying "there is no market for this, it could sit here for years, I'm taking all the risk" To turn around and sell that same item saying "everybody wants this, it might sell before you can even run to the bank and back, I'll give you a special price, not a penny less".
Rick: I’ll give you a $100 for it......I gotta be honest I’m gonna have a hard time flipping a Multiverse. Not a lot of interest out there plus I’m gonna have to sink a lot into it.
I've seen every episode since they made this channel and even when they were on the history channel love pawn stars plus I've been to the gold and silver pawn shop and met chum
I haven't seen this show on any common streaming service in like 7 years, so I figured they canceled it, but it's nice to see that there's some content on RU-vid! I used to watch the show when I was young back when people had live television with those monitors (television set?) that you'd hang on the wall
I remember Steve McQueen driving a Mustang GT in a movie called "Bullitt". It sold over a year ago for $3.4 million at auction in Florida. Badass Cars!
That’s the ultimate car of cars to own, a really beautiful car modern and old is sheer class! If you want to drive a car no matter the car, drive within the speed limits and get a car with modern safety features, really is safer!
no one alive today has ever seen that movie, it came out a decade before anyone was born, so there's nothing surprising, despite that movie making American cars popular for a short while.
the 67 was built by Ford using Shelby stuff Ford and Shelby were going apart at the time, I had a 66 bought brand new at Hayward Ford in California. The 67 had alot of " comfort" built in and didn't have the draw of the 66. When the 67 came out and were on the floor, that's when I bought the 66, you should have seen the inventory of Shelby built cars on hand, from 427 roadsters, 289 roadsters, 66 coupes ( at least 10 ) in all configurations in the shop. plus the 67's had arrived and I got a very sweet deal for the trade in (64 Cheve El Cameno ) and a killer deal for the 66.
@@bencaldwell4820 They are real nice to look at. Had a friend back in school who'd tell me his dad owned not one but two of them! Of course I didn't believe him until he turned up to school in them one by one! Awesome car.
My aunt had a 66 Shelby Mustang ( may have been 68). It was blue with a wide white stripe. that car was awesome. I loved riding in it when I was a kid.
Absolutely has to be the case. It'd actually be a clever trick for someone to say "actually, I'd prefer to hear what the expert says first" and then divert all attempts to eek out an answer...... It's different from the usual script, and if they turned down an item/sale JUST because a potential customer wouldn't divulge that info prior, that would be a stupid way to do business. But yeah, that HAS to be a tactic they use. They're in the pawn business. Quite often greedy, to be direct. *Boyfriend of the account holder commenting*
@@ttv-itstheman2222 tactical move..... Reverse psychology. But I admit, that's my bias. I've watched it happen many more times where the expert quotes a lower price, or RIGHT at what the customer is asking. And sometimes, the customer asks a low enough price, not knowing enough about what the item is..... And the shop and expert doesn't completely screw the person. But, folks like the Harrisons..... yeah, they know all the tactics. I've made up my mind, basically. But, no disrespect to anyone .... Except these rich shop owners/tv stars, who literally let deals fail, over a hundred dollars. Sometimes less. These folks who come in, need money, and we don't know the real reasons. The owners are millionaires, and still nickle and dime to the max. I don't care it's a business, it's taking advantage of people in difficult positions. When a small group of men, create a legal system that makes their plundering lawful, and a moral code that glorifies it..... That's a sad situation. And every one on here that glorify the Harrisons.... They're falling into that thinking. Perpetuating the whole cycle. It's not a good thing. Despise what they all think. *Boyfriend of the account holder commenting.*
I actually don't remember where I was at for the OJ chase, I remember listening to the verdict over the PA of my High School and I remember all the coverage of the trial but I don't remember watching the actual chase live.
If the Bronco guy really wanted to sell it, he'd have asked for Rick to broker and list it for a commission like a piece of real estate. No risk and no up front expense to the owner.
Fenomenalno !!!
You know that dude cried that night curled up in a ball in the garage where that shelby used to sit. That chevy covair was mad as. I would love to cruise down to the shops in that.
Boy not quite sure how this guy is a ‘car dealer’? Seller stated provenance is such that the car being a McQueen car is worth upwards of $80k then he proceeds to asks for $40,000. Very strange for a ‘car dealer’ to drop his shorts that much on a nice 51’. Turned out to be solid gold for Rick.
Gone in the 60 Seconds remake was a Shelby GT500 not a GT350. The last I talked to one of the guy I went to scholl with still had his GT350 but one of my buddies had a GT500.
Absolutlely, also they had the6 cyl. Versions which were a 4 lug suspension the v8 versions had 5 lug suspensions which were heavier duty and included a stronger drive train.
@@danroush4269 yup. You seem to know these cars, so you'll appreciate this. I've just came across a 66 Canso SD, L79 for sale. Way too much bread for a non numbers match car though.
With the first one, the mustang, i wouldn’t be surprised if rick had his car guy give him the worth during the ride then told him to lowball the seller for the camera
I used to work in mechanic shop and we had a white bronco come in roughly same year and my manager told me to look in the back seat for a access to something and when i came back i said no to having to access and said oj is not back there either and we both busted out laughing
Time out! That is not Eleanor, the car used in "Gone in 60 seconds" was a 1967 GT 500. Now if you were to say the car from "Bullet" yes that was closer to a GT 350. Granted it was a 1968 Mustang GT. HUGE DIFFERENCE
Renault 4CV The Renault 4CV is a rear-engined, rear-wheel-drive, 4-door economy supermini manufactured and marketed by the French manufacturer Renault from August 1947 through July 1961. It was the first French car to sell over a million units, and was superseded by the Dauphine.
I wrote almost the exact same comment, LOL. When i first seen the Mustang i did not know which GT series it was ? But when they referenced it to the movie and said GT350. I thought ???? What are they talking about. Even the owner did not seem to know ??
@@aberjaylopdollar1074 I have seen clups of this movie. Gone in 60 seconds the Junkman i think the title is. It is very dated now. Especially the acting ?? I guess mostly why it's free to watch, LOL.
