Before taking Paxlovid, talk your doctor or pharmacist, especially if you are taking other medications to avoid drug interactions. Actually, don't listen to my advice, just talk to your doctor, because seriously, I'm not a doctor, I'm just a person with a ukulele. Why would you listen to me instead of your doctor? And yet, here we are. I mean, I listened to my friends who told me that Paxlovid was worth it, and BOOM, here I am recommending it to you (thank you Ms C and Ms G.M., by the way!). If people would listen to their doctors everyone would be vaccinated and we wouldn't be still stuck in this morass.
Sorry, got off track there. This product may cause your mouth to taste like a dirty dish sponge, but seriously, who cares, you can chew a stick of gum to solve that. Much easier to solve than covid. Especially long covid. Which actually who knows if Paxlovid averts that but seems reasonable that lowering your overall viral load is a step in the right direction. And seriously, long covid is bad juju so any step in the opposite direction is good in my book.
Thank you, by the way, to all the hard working scientists who have been working their butts off to develop these new medications so that people like me can pop a few pills and feel better. Big Pharma gets a bad rap for plenty of good reasons but sheesh, it's not like I was going to invent this in my bathroom or something.
Also, just not catching covid in the first place is a great strategy. So yeah, mask up, don't breathe other people's air, and yeah. Good luck with that y'all.
