If it was my sisters kids and she was like that “uncaring parent”, I wouldn’t say no to watching the kids cause I would be more worried where my nieces and nephews would end up if I didn’t step in.

Yes it is. I was reared by my aunt too and it was best thing that happened to me. There are still some aunts out there who will do that. This is very commendable of that sister because four kids is alot.
The little chubby one might be the 'special little princess' while the responsible girl may be the older sister, expected to look after everyone else. Seen that a lot. Being in the same family doesn't guarantee the same upbringing.
Yes, you are correct. Have an acquaintance at work. She has a sisters three kids and all school age. Plus her own two children. She pays for everything and the only one financially stable enough to care for them. Their grandmother helps with the after school care. She keps receipts for everything. Same story, sister id full of herself. She and her husband did the same. Took her to court. Sister wanted $900 a month for the three kids. Mother said that was "too much." Court has her paying $1,500 per month. Bet that $900 looks real good now . . . I met the mother, yikes, I understand why the sister has the kids. They would all turn out as losers staying with the mom. Grandma teaches them various things too. Sounds like the kids are well adjusted and eager to learn. I pray they all have a good life.

She will in Texas, where these are based. They take child support straight serious there. Prisons are full of folks who decided not to pay it and are now chillin'.
Ummm, ya, she will. If she dies not pay up, then her sister can bring her right back Judge Vonda, and the mother will have to pay not only her month support but also back pay. That's done here in Ct. And I've watched enough of these court videos showing their is always a consequence no matter what state. Some states will give the parent a chance to make up that money and if they don't, then they are thrown in jail. Mind you, STILL having to pay that support when they get back out. So it only gets messier for them as time goes by.

You can look her up, I would say Google, for her information. With these tv shows, they usually pay for the trip to get there. But, I don't know about youtube shows. I would deffinilty encourage you to look into it.

It’s never been OK, but when you’re allowed to be one all through your upbringing without some sort of intervention that’s just the way you’re going turn out.
The fact that this mother thinks that these children only need to eat little Debbie snacks once in a while and that’s their food for the day? They’re little kids so they don’t have to eat much she says? That’s neglect.
If the real case that this reenactment was based on was even close to what we just watched, I genuinely hope that the sister who gave birth to four children eventually signed over all parental rights of the children to her sister so that those babies could be raised by someone who put their needs before their own wants, and who truly loved the children.
I’m so glad I found someone that realized that this is a scripted ”show”. The acting is terrible. There would be no way an actual litigant would be allowed to behave that way. I guess it’s better than watching nothing. Some other episodes are better though.

So, not only is it very much scripted, and the plaintiff and defendant are indeed actors, but the cases are loosely based on court cases that are heavily dramatised. The channel isn't hiding these facts, they openly state it.

This is real…trust me. It may be a re-enactment but the story is real. I have been a social worker for 20 years. This is real as it gets. This is why we need to stop rescuing ignorant people. Clapping her hands while she talks crazy to the judge. She doing what she can except closing her legs and not getting pregnant with kids she has no intention or raising.

She looks well fed. I was in the same predicament, taking care of my niece's children. She didn't even stay in her home, after picking up her third child from the NICU. She left him in the car seat, all bundled up, in her second child's crib. We went to drop off the gift she asked for. Her husband walked in and out, and the poor baby was just left. I waited, and finally took him home with me, and no one called for 3 weeks!

Who cares! I can only imagine how sad and scared those kids feel when their mom leaves by themselves and constantly feeling like no one is there for them! Only leaving them with snack cakes too is obvious of neglect so probably feeling hungry as hell to the point of begging from friends at school or digging out of the trash bins while teachers/other students aren't looking(actually heard a kid was doing this at my high school IN Round Rock, TX!).
Another situation where a woman has children with numerous men out of wedlock who don't and won't marry her. She's totally irresponsible and she passes her kids off on someone else to take care of. She's a walking advertisement for birth control and tubal ligation.

I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on fertility treatments and IVF trying to get pregnant. It absolutely breaks my heart to see parents with four kids who think $20 a month is sufficient for raising a child. They deserve better.
