Very underrated DLC-free weapon. If you think you need DLC in order to play good, try this weapon and place your shots carefully. With time, it's gonna become natural to you.
There are MANY weapons that are amazing or fun to use without DLC Altough people that purchased PD2 "Pre-ultimate" would find it very limiting and the feeling of being locked out of all the content. Its just fun to sometimes try to have fun with many other weapons
@@Shyrringe Nope, tons of non-DLC game changers: M308, Galant, IZHMA, Grimm 12G, Compact 40mm, Bronco, CAR-4, Locomotive, the Judge, the Electrical Brass Knuckles, Hacker, Rogue, Crook, Armorer, Stoic... should I go on?
Why did't you talk abou using semi-auto and full-auto stratigely to preserve ammo? I turn on semi-auto to easily headshot regular cops and auto to spray at dozer face like a SMG. Its efective and saves a lot of ammo that allways running full-auto.
Man, watching this video and looking back at how much the M308 has now been left in the dust with the Galant and the DMR ammo pickup nerf actually made me a bit sad. Jules, this is not how you treat balance of classic weapons.
I don't lock the M308 to semi-auto but I only (very) rarely use it on full-auto anymore. Even when dealing with dozers I find close range, rapid semi-auto works best. It's much more ammo efficient and I find I can down dozers faster. For me even the extended ammo pool is to damned small to accommodate full-auto fire.
Nucleus The And is horrible (in my opinion) because of the horrible ammo efficiently with the Dmr kit. The m308 is better than the Galant for armour/stoic builds while the Galant is built for dodge users so I don't think you will profit that much.
2:22 I usually feel bad shooting at the civis knowing Bain wasn't smart enough to bring cable tie bags but I feel like this civi in particular deserved it.
This is one of my favorite guns to use in Payday 2, on full auto it makes the Krinkov look like a cap gun. I would advise against locking it to full auto. While it might ruin a bulldozers day in a heartbeat, the low ammo pickup makes it unsustainable. With ammo skills, pickup ranges from 2-6 rounds for me (typically closer to 2). Depending on difficulty and where you aim, it typically takes 1-3 rounds to kill most enemies. There have been times I kill a few enemies, and not get the ammo back that it took to kill them. I keep it on semi auto most of the time, treat it as a low damage sniper. I really only click it over to full auto when I need something dead right fucking now, and the M308 delivers on that. If you do click it to full auto you'll want to be very wary of your surroundings. While full auto will kill a building, a taser won't use lube on your ammo reserve. Surefire and ammo skills aren't as optional as you think with this gun. Surefire is a good idea either way, because you can't boost the 10 round base mag with mods. 5 years later most of the info is still accurate. Suppressor skills (as in using skills and suppressor to boost damage) was taken out of the game. The gun is very usable at all ranges. While the mods you put on are dealers choice, I would suggest pairing the surgeon sight and magnifier. With this, you get the best of both worlds for short and long range. I pair it up with anything that can do short and long range, and I love the combo.
I'll tell you what killed the m14. Rail systems. When they put those on it the rifle weighed a hindred pouds fully kitted out and it died. If they had the newer light rails back then we'd still be using it cause its a great rifle. I still use one
You never seem to mention Anarchist as a perk deck to use. It's so damn powerful, making you almost completely invulnerable on Overkill and below, and is still extremely powerful on Mayhem and DW. The Armour recovery is just too slow for OneDown however
Dude, all I was saying is it's not optimal for OneDown. Stuff like armourer or Dodge just suit me better for it, why you gotta take it as a personal attack against you and get all insulty and aggressive over it
Ah yes... a rifle from an age of iron, where the greatest weapon of war was the cause to a peace. Where the empires that fought crumbled by their economies and not always from foreign actions
The reason I'm afraid to replace my ak762 with the M308 is because the only reason the US army changed their weapon to the M16 is because the AK was far superior in the Vietnam war.
Body expertise was designed for people who can't get headshots, so if you think you need it and have bad aim, then get it. Or just try your best to improve your aim. In my opinion, Body Expertise is a waste of skill points, including Swan Song.
Body Expertise just isn't worth the massive skill cost if your weapon is remotely accurate. Headshots still do more damage due to the 25% bonus from Helmet Popping.
