Love how Overkill was like "Okay no more paid DLC for Payday 2" after the ending, and then immediately recognised that was their most potent source of money and now they're back to it lmao.
To be entirely fair, they did nearly go bankrupt due to the flop that was Overkill's the walking dead. So this was mainly to prevent the entire company from toppling. Worth noting their money issues have been resolved since.
I don't know if the HK51 and HK51B are the same weapon but if they are then it only looks like a MP5, the HK51 it's a G3 Battle Rifle with short barrel, collapsible stock and looks like a MP5
No it's an aftermarket conversion of the HK51 (which itself is not made by HK) made by F.J. Vollmer Inc. It's not a smg it's a cut down, belt fed G3 firing .308 Win.

@@videogaming1000 a Lot of HK Guns are Just modified,resized and uglier mp5s. I mean, It Works, but too much of a good thing is bad, and that probably applies to the HK slap.
Love the belt fed that shows how much is in the mag, loved the attention to detail with the weapon that mimics the real life counter part. The sound of the weapon makes it feel amazing to use. However this isn’t obviously the best weapon and definitely isn’t a brainless weapon that someone can pick up and use to the full potential without skill points. But it has made some of my builds more interesting ^^
I'm pretty sure the 51b and other earlier models of this goofy thing shoot .308, and later ones introduced shoot 5.56. Which, makes this an even more hilarious weapon
I doubt it, as awesome as it would be to properly look down the sights of an MG42 or something like that i think it's more likely they will keep ADS as a balancing mechanic between more accurate but less damaging LMGs that are more AR-like (this one, or the bootleg for something really similar but classified as AR) and less accurate, more damaging monsters like the other ones we are used to. Maaaybe an attachment like a scope or irons available on some (but not all) LMGs to unlock ADS.
If you mod it for maximum concealment, with Optical Illusions Aced, Inner Pockets and so on and so forth, it'll be 21 concealment. Whilst paired with a 34 concealment Beretta / PPK, you can actually get it to 4 detection risk, low enough for the full effect of Low Blow and Sneaky Bastard basic.
The HK51B is the last weapon I expected to make it into PD2. Honestly, if they're gonna balance it, they're gonna give it 40x the recoil like every other game does. I do like the current design of it though, really satisfying to run around with essentially a Compact-5 on steroids and crack.
1:53- I would know that song anywhere. The Rain Formerly Known as Purple is hands down my FAVORITE ROR2 song ever. I could spend hours listening to that.
I would just like to say that the reload animations for the weapons from this new pack are SOOOOO much more polished and refined than the other recent packs. Props to Overkill on that front.
@@insertname9514 They didn't mention anything about it in the changelog. An effect of this change is that it makes the long slide mod just worse than the custom milled because of less options
@@GeneralMcBadass From what I've heard, "supposedly" it was never supposed to have silencers in the first place - despite making distinctions on which slide mods can be used with suppressors and a skin (Fluorescent) having a suppressor.

@@GeneralMcBadass oh i was eating it up, Payday used to be my altime favorite game w/ friends until I realized what it turned into. Also I'm just one viewer, but honestly you've helped me so much with your guides/builds for PD2, I think carrying that over to an amazing game like RoR2 - as just ONE example - would be AMAZING. I mean with item builds with their stacking, proc, debuffs, character builds, and on top of that the devs actually seem to... idk, CARE about their game (lol) it just seems like it'd be a goldmine of great content. And that's just guides alone. if you're down with it ;)))
To be fair, the ammo pickup isnt THAT broken once youre playing with a full crew. Unless you got your own spot where you pick up the ammo of the enemies you kill, it gets a little bit tight sometimes.
As a filthy casual who sticks to OK or Mayham, it can start getting ammo unstable if your teammates are also running ammo unstable builds. Normally on OK with an LMG I provide enough ammo thru normal churn that I don’t worry if someone is running akimbo judges with a 5/7, as I can just feel his abysmal pickup rate with kills. This one… it’s pretty borderline.
There really is a gun out there for everything You should look at the AR-15 conversion that takes P90 mags. Or the AR-15 conversion to make it belt fed. Or the AR-15 conversion to make it fire beer cans like a muzzle loader
The funniest thing is lmgs in VR are one of the only viable weapon types and are honestly better than the base game with a laser sight. You can just laser people with no recoil or need to even aim. Hell you even get your sights if you really want them.

The ammo pick up is pretty poor compared to other LMGs, e.g. the Brenner gets almost 50% more while having slightly higher base damage. But the crits give you way higher effective damage, which compensates plenty.
I'm not going to judge you knowing what the gun is based off of, heck I don't know anything about that gun until someone told me what it is. Also I don't really use it for meta, but because it sounds cool.
that gun is called the HK51B and yea it looks weird asf. Didn't believe it was real at first cuz how the fuck can u add a belt fed mechanism onto a slim carbine but apparently u can (doesnt mean u should)
I'm tired of overkill releasing amazing skills and weapons, and just nerfing them once the hype has died down. I used to buy all their DLC; when they nerf the items I paid for, it makes me mad.
