I'm pretty sure it's not up to Starbreeze entirely. Most definitely it's Microsoft who doesn't want to prolong the deal.

I still play this game but I don't get the enjoyment when I play this compared to Payday 2 Heisting feels boring...

Well it’s dead currently. Unfortunately Payday 3, is a really outdated game. I don’t know, but it plays like an outdated PS3 game. They need to let it fizzle, learn, and work on Payday 4, with a whole new development team. The current team are awful developers.

Honestly, I think one of the things which Starbreeze could do is just selling the Payday IP. Not ideal, because Payday is their only major source of money and if they abandoned it, they would bankrupt shortly after, but I believe it's still better than killing the franchise altogether, or suddenly switching to making Payday 4.

@@JaNieWie Very true. I mean their reputation already has taken a major hit. The gaming community is not as forgiving, and there’s an abundance of games that are worth playing, so the market gets very competitive. And currently they’re not ahead of the curve, they’re very behind. So that would be a good idea. To get the game to where it needs to be, would take a lot of money they seem to not have. Plus, rebranding it once it’s at a very updated product. Just cost too much money.

They need to start fixing the gameplay instead of ruining it further by making stealth a chore. Armour and skill systems are unacceptable, they play worse, they feel worse, and theh feel cookie cutter af. All the meatriders in the discord think that designing the game around like 100 players is a good move.
