1:14 Cover Blown is probably the most ominous/uncomfortable a video game OST has made me feel, kinda like the stealth portion of Evil Eye with how foreboding it feels
I'd liken it to the Library in Halo CE, especially if it's your first playthrough. Arrhythmic, constant musical stabs that mess with your ability to aim and fire, the whole atmosphere. The characters you're controlling may not be so scared, but you sure are.
so, the implications of this heist is that the Payday gang started the zombie apocalypse. yeah, i don't wanna be a devils advocate, but this is why people get an office job instead.
Not entirely sure on the premise of PDTH, but supposidely it's an alternate path in which the zombie apocalypse is contained because the Clowns caused enough a commotion right before outbreak the army could respond in time: "Code silver at Mercy Hospital, it's the Clowns" "Holy shit, bring everything we have and put the army on hold" compare that to: "Police reports a number of deceased patients at Mercy Hospital stood up again and assaulted everyone inside... they're now spreading out in the city now, the local force couldn't contain the mob" "What the hell? What's the protocol to be followed here?"
How to trollge the hospital: 1) Go to the fourth floor in the No Mercy Hospital 2) Subdue all the hostages, make sure none of then trigger the alarm. 3) Find the patient file. 4) Disguise as a doctor and head over to the ICU. 5) Gain access to the correct patient 6) Extract blood and have at least two validated blood samples 7) Escape via the elevator 8) They've got the army on your ass! 2012 "No Mercy" Incident
I like how Bain blasts this banger while Dallas is slowly turning into a hunter, Hoxton just starting to produce bile but slowly, Wolf already at the halfway stage turning into a smoker and Chains suddenly growing muscles at a rapid pace.
@@PrivateBryan I like this idea, especially with "I will give you my all". It might actually make sense,if he just said when the assaults were ending, someone who's tapping in would know their guard is down.
Start of the heist Bain: security is low in a hospital 20 minute later Bain: THEY SENT JETS ON YOU THERE CRAZY 2 minutes later Bain : Im......sorry......you're.......left.....for.......dead
Well, its a virus. a deadly virus, if the guy having it has toxic blood levels and abnormal heart rate, and the more blood you pump from him, mushrooms growing the more you pump from him, he starts to growl, if it is classified as a unknown virus. what the hell do you expect? we don't know anything about the virus, it can be a virus that turns you into goo or a zombie, so what do you expect? to get normal cops after your ass? hell no. they will sent the army. EDIT: Sorry for being rude or something
The first payday did this heist much better in my opinion, the level was much darker. It had a more scary atmosphere like the dead police were gonna rise up and become zombies anytime, and the music is less techno and more spooky it really adds to the vibe that there is something different and wrong about this heist
Because it was a heist about zombies, it was meant to be dark, in payday 2 they had to rework the heist so it would make sense in the lore, since it's not canon in payday the heist but is canon in payday 2
@@burrito636 still, it was a job which was deeply dangerous. They robbed a *fucking hospital*. Bain and chains both comment on how fucked up no mercy was. He wanted the manual though. Bain seems spooked the entire heist. The new music makes you feel cool and powerful, the old music actually makes you feel like something is deeply wrong.
this is the kind of crossover Payday 2 shouldve had, while the John Wick crossover was great the rest where iffy tho we can all agree the point break one is better than the actual source material
Code Silver, Orange and yellow fit for these (Silver- Active shooter, person with gun or hostage situation) - Yellow bomb threat (Military blew up the roof) and Code Orange a hazardous material spill/release (green flu contaminated blood)
I'm sure Code Orange isn' nessesarily at stake, since it is federal forces blowing up the roof. I'm sure they'd be rather careful in such a scenario. On the other hand, if the Payday Gang used explosives within the hospital (totally possible in-game with trip-mines), that would almost certainly count as Code Orange.
I agree. After the sheer intensity of the assault waves in this heist, it just suddenly stops, and the entire hospital just becomes silence with occasional heartbeats to interrupt. Really adds an ominous atmosphere and reminds the player that they’re heisting a goddamn hospital.
I feel this heist could make for a really good payday 3 heist. The level design of mercy hospital would just really shine in payday 3’s game design imo
Anyone else ready, waiting, and assuming the position for Mercy Hospital 2? Also, anyone else notice that one of the instruments is the sound of an iron lung? One of the most eerie sounds you can hear in any hospital, paired with heist bearing the creepiest connotations. Fitting as hell.
+VerrucktMedic Code silver stealth portion in payday 2 (I dunno is it different now but it had) sudden very loud noises. they were part of the stealth part but they were really loud.
My headcanon: Payday: The Heist takes place in the L4D universe in 2009, with No Mercy being the crew's last heist (for obvious reasons). They're killed after trying to escape the building in an Ambulance, and then all hell breaks loose. Payday 2 takes place in a universe specific to Payday.
@@gilby_6543 dude, I know. I've heard all this crap before. But in the absence of explanation in the Left 4 Dead game, and it honestly being a really cool concept, that's what I'm going to go with.
Those who say this is way better than 2018 remix is his notalgia kicking in, both are badass, unique in their own style, the 2018 more adapted to the new PAYDAY 2 vibe!
I didnt even know about PD:TH until I had been playing PD2 a few months, so no... That said, I get the thought, and I do like Code Silver 2018, but I feel like it's sorta a case of if it ain't broke, don't fix it. It's kinda hard to improve upon a song with a remix when the original was so kickass. That said yes, Code Silver 2018 definitely has a much more fitting tone to it than the OG, cause PD2's No Mercy was nowhere near as sinister and dark as in PD:TH, but standalone, this one is much more fun to listen to
yes i know. I played the mission(with some workshop mods) but i'm just saying that it would be nice to put this in Overkill's The Walking Dead as an additional track
Snydder Bitter actually yah, they can put this in there game as a reference in PAYDAY the heist no mercy. It will be cool, the walking dead characters fighting through zombies, in a hospital, while the "cold silver" soundtrack is going on the background. it will be amazing
chppex Yeah remixes butchered originals i already swapped to original tracks for everyheist that go remastered. Innluding security breach for Diamond heist
If you run out of medbags in this mission why can't we just use the cabinets that are red, i mean in l4d they have pill in them which heal you so logic right?
The assault sounds like there is constant alarm and that little jingle is like it is an alert sound of "Warning! SWAT Unit B-9, proceed to the floor 4!"
@@collegepark301 Only in one part of the song though, which sucks because the sirens are my favorite part of the song... They make me feel so panicked lol
@@lsdm629 tbh I think it does. Code Silver 2018 sounding less foreboding and more techno is justified by the more 'fun' gameplay and by the fact your not actually stealing the green flu. Since its a less serious take, the music can be less 'serious'.
This part makes it feel like Payday The heist is somewhat connected with L4D(Left for Dead) since the blood was said had some blood poisoning, I also heard in some comments saying that Wolf was coughing and eventually turned into a Charger. Or something else. But Payday 2 has more lore and is the Remastered version of Payday: The heist(I think)
+staryoshi06 Yeah you're right. Casing mode is in between assaults so it should be cover blown. Cover blown is when your scouting the hospital reception so it should be casing mode.
