Yeah that’s false…. It changed very much from start to finish. His tempo on his follow through was 130-170mph club speed…. His backswing was much slower.
@@daviddicara991 perfect tempo, but to say it never changes is completely false. The swing is much faster than his backswing, which means tempo changes very much. Not an opinion.
Yes man Me also and I had just started playing and watching because of tiger but for some reason Payne caught my attention and Cory pavin for some reason
One of the most beautiful golf swings of all time. Perfect tempo, very fluid, excellent technique, but not mechanical. A natural looking swing with sound fundamentals.
I truly miss this guy. I always felt like I could learn something from watching him. Just a textbook swing hones to absolute perfection. Smooth, fluid, zero tension or hurry. Zen like.
I remember exactly where I was when I found out he'd passed on. I had just begun my golf journey as a kid, and he was my favorite. I wish I could have seen him continue to play, he had so much respect for the game.
I wish he was still here...... would love to have seen his swing age!!! STILL remember the day. My mom who doesn't play golf stopped me as I walked into the house while his jet was still in the air.😢 I was glued to the TV news channel. rest easy my Man.
People talk about locking your forearm or firing your hands at the ball or turning your wrists or whatever trying to hit a golf shot. Here it's the absolute perfect swing: turn your body and let your arms go wherever they feel like going. All you add is just pushing forward from your back leg. After that it's just see ball, hit ball.
Fun fact, in the late 90s into early 2000s when golf video games were transitioning from recorded animation to 3D animations, most of the swings on games like PGA Championship Golf, Links 2001, and others used his swing as the basis for the game.
I’m gonna watch this before every round and have my mind watch perfect unhurried tempo while still absolutely annihilating the golf ball. My goodness. RIP Payne, say hi to The Lord for me
@Seth, Yes, perfect tempo that begins with that slow deliberate back swing. Also notice the left hip how it clears out of the way on the downswing. I really liked your comment about Payne saying hello to our Loving Father in Heaven. I think you would be a good friend to have. Blessed Day. 🙏🇺🇸
@@frankkinley6272 Frank, thanks so much. You’ve made my day! I admire Payne’s Faith more than his swing. Great commentary on deliberate slow backswing and the hip clear where he gets the power! God bless Frank and thanks again 🙏
As I understand the golf swing better and better, I realize more and more why Stewart's swing served him so well. Oh yeah, and the aesthetics are off the charts.
Just a basic vanilla golfer. But it worked. Probably one of the closest two feet stance I’ve ever seen. If you watch closely, he has a balance problem sometimes because his stance is not wide at all.
