Have you noticed that just 2 years ago, Belmonte's name has been in every commentator's mouth, even when he was not bowling, especially Randy's. But now, it's about Svensson. A little Tackett too. But it's like Belmo is old news now.
Sorry for the super late reply, but the MainEvent places look to be pretty garbage for anything more than purely recreational bowling. They probably don't oil the lanes much at all for open bowling, but they were well-oiled for the pros.
Why did they skip the final frame of game #3? Svensson was still able to draw with Rash and take 25 points, while Belmo could still beat Simonson at that moment.
S1rWakka it was irrelevant. it was a position round and Belmonte was chasing rash. so once rash shut out belmo for the 2nd spot it didn't matter who won or lost
Jesper is not the Ice Man; Belmo is with that bs rerack in the first match. And E.J. Almost leaves a 9 pin then puts extra hand on the 12th ball? I wouldn't have even done that. He's still a beast though
I just started bowling two years ago and shot 300 in scratch league. Obviously they're amazing at what they do but for someone who started at the age of 24, I'm pretty talented myself. I get the rerack strategy to ice Jesper and possibly EJ. But it's just like that whole water bottle thing all over again. It rubbed me the wrong way
leagues are house shots. i dont think you understand how reracking works. you just do it because the head pin is slightly off centered and everyone does it, I dont understand what your gripe is.
The turn out was bad because of short time promotion. I was there..on the intro's in the guy in the Judas Priest shirt with my wife and daughter (in the green shirt).. I talked to the tournament director... Hardly any advertising..
The same was true in the World Series of Bowling held in Reno last winter. I drove 1,100 miles to watch it, my first PBA tournament ever. Anyways, the check-in clerks at the Silver Legacy told me they were only aware of something bowling happening because of the signs posted in the casino. They said that there was no local advertising. And during the events, there were like a maximum of say about 65 people in the stadium seats. The PBA organizers moved about 20 people form the gallery seats to the portable scaffold seats so that during the tv taping it would appear to be packed with people.
Why can't you just enjoy the game without thinking abut whether someone is a homosexual or not? I hope you don't think tha tjsut because two gays hugged each other early in the game that this means they're not. If so, that's not necessarily the case. It may not be that at all, just a friendly, I"m proud of you for doing a good job, gesture.
Yuri Wankov why would it make a difference? There are gay professional bowlers now that have won titles and the comments are terrible from the bible thumpers.
