Unfortunately I agree with you. PBD has always come across as a fair and balanced person and I believe as a moderator, he would be just that. But once Ben has made up his mind about something, it's pretty hard to change it. And, as you said, Daily Wire would never promote another company, especially one that's in competition with them. It's going to be another black mark on Ben and DW when they refuse because of the charity offer. If PBD is smart, he'll donate the money regardless.
It seems PBD is trying to offer a gesture of charity that they both would get behind which will motivate them to have discussion. At least PBD is trying to get both sides to talk. Their view points definitely mirror the decisiveness about the Israeli situation.
He's already positioned himself as America first many times. I understand where you're coming from, but I hope he proves his America First position and agrees to the sit down.

We each are battling the same enemy our very own broken selves. We have to remember that if we are going to stand against this evil rising we have to love each other selflessly. There is no greater lie than the one that pits us all against each other. We have to rise above that lie and treat each other with civility. But The Daily Wire has been trying to get this to happen on their platform where Candace would be surrounded by nothing but those who are solely loyal to the daily wire and Ben Shapiro. Others have tried to get Lex Fridman to do it. PBD pledged a massive donation to the family of the young lady who was slain by illegal immigrants and will provide a space that allows both sides to speak freely and in a space that is not hostile to either side. PBD is incredibly good with moderating. There a lot more to it than what your dim view obviously allows either of you to see. So I invite you to not watch it when it happens and stay in the dark. Leveraging Laken Riley's death for a debate over Israel and Gaza makes no sense. Charity of choice would've been more persuasive to Ben and left a heartbroken family out of online drama. I do hope they debate but as I think of what the America First President's reaction would be to this... I'm smh too

Patrick, let me tell you. As a one of your fan from CapeTown South Africa, i was really upset about Ben and how he has suddenly become like toxic towards his fellow conservatives, the likes of Cadance and Tucker Carson. This invitation is really needed and if it doesn't change Ben attitude, then we have to say goodbye to the Ben we all admired. If he doesn't see the America first in his daily activities then he needs to go back to Israel and continue his show in Telaviv.
There is no good reason for either party to debate this issue. They have both already publicly stated their positions. There is nothing new or additional here to reveal or discuss.
This is disgusting. The right way to do this is $250k for a charity of their choice. $125k for Ben’s charity choice and $125k for Candace’s charity of choice. To pull Laken Riley’s family into this is disgusting. You need to donate $250k to her family regardless at this point.
