@@renzbay123 it is he use to roll on book back in the days but ended up book having more success than him, glad he got over the hump this time i hope it continues from here.
Bro just beat arslan ash without heading to a reset, beat another Pakistani to get to grand finals, beat rangchu’s panda a former T7 twt champion. This is a huge win for AK 🇵🇭 hope tekken tournaments return to Philippines after this win. Can’t believe he just did that to arslan wtf
im from PH and im so happy that AK won. this is a huge deal for our PH gaming pro scene not talking about mobile games bcuz that ML mobile game is trash AK sometimes if not always falls to 2nd place back in T7 bcause for me its a harder game T8 is not exciting as T7, T7 has that tension that 8 doesnt have, as a viewer it really feels and looks like easier than T7. But nontheless Congrats to my kababayan AK ,i thought he wasnt gonna make it to these tournaments with the Passport issue but now we have a new CB champion! :)
I’m thinking Arslan only placed 3rd in evo once and once finished 7th last year in a major and now 2nd in this major. Otherwise, Arslan absolutely nailed every major in US. These pop offs are rare for NA crowd. It also helped that Arslan is not at all on same level in tekken 8 as he was in tekken 7. But still he showed his typical run. I think he’d also finish it off like before if he had same comfort in this game as in tekken 7. Let see how it goes further 🙂. But ggs to AK, he finally broke his second place curse 😭
@@sebastianocampo71997 not really. Even when he was against knee, the crowd would cheer for knee. Who they consider the best tekken player. Its simply the fact that Arslan isn't the person that they ever imagined to dominate the tekken scene. And i think i know why but im not gonna say it. But they always root against him no matter who he is fighting. Always.
Really! I wasn’t sure since he was playing against the monster Arslan ash whom he never have beaten before. But even for Ash, this new game is unfamiliar waters to soak feet in so far. So, it was anybody’s game.
"In Tekken 7, there were so many 2nd Place Finishes! But in Tekken 8, AK, is *FIRST* PLACE!!" Rip is so good at his job, dude. Top 8 was kind of a mixed bag, but Winner's Finals and Grand Finals were hype asf and super close. Farzeen and Arslan took AK to the limit and the crowd brought the energy.
It cant be understated enough how insane Arslan's losers run was. Barely hanging on by the skin of his teeth to evolving mid-tourney and getting better. I kept seeing people say he's washed becuase he got sent to losers early, so it's nice to see him make it far enough to make it a REALLY CLOSE game w/ AK 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
AK's pop-off after the win is probably one of the best pop-offs in tekken history! you could see his emotion and how he has longed for champion for so long
I like both AK's crazy celebration and Arslan's emotional despression after the final match, the strong desire for the title made them step onto the final stage. What a great set, GGs to both.
AK was out of his mind and keeps on dropping combos but he was able to regain his confidence and boom! Arslan Ash still is scary crazy. All time Great. The rest is history. Congrats to all the players! Combo Breaker 2024 Chicago, IL USA. From the Philippines to Pakistan.
@@nrostova5606 yeah I think so too, I'm a Shaheen user and I would definitely go for the easier combo to get the win on the first combo drop. But that just me a noob player. Congrats AK!
The arena hushed, and in that silence, we felt the weight of defeat. Our hearts sank, but sportsmanship prevailed. We turned our gaze to AK, who stood victorious. His grin was infectious-a blend of elation and respect. The Philippines had their hero, and we applauded. Love from Pakistan
Tekken 8's *A G G R E S I V E* system benefited AK's playstyle. I've never seen his Shaheen with this much pressure. Kudos to Arslan as well, he's slowly adapting to this meta and most probably get even more better.
Harada probably in the audience going nuts watching this. He accomplished what he set out to do with T8, making boring turtling players suffer for playing safe. Watching one of the top players in t7 get tossed around with slides and combos was beyond satisfying. Night and day difference from the past few t7 finals where people just poked eachother to death.
I never saw a tekkie tourney before so seeing AK throughout top 8 made me think he was like a very chill mellow player but man seeing him freak out after winning brought a smile to my face. He worked his goddamn ass off to get there and props to AK.
@@samdeval maybe if you watched torneys you'd know this is not true. Sephiblack mains him, Riddum beats speed at the chipotle torney to win grand finals, AK did what he just did. In Canada TripleAAA took out Kirakira and Anakin and other high level players and had a close set in top 8 against Joka. Ali Ashan was just 2nd against Joka in the biggest Pakistan torney that happened. If you check online, Even other pros are playing him like Rangchu in online too. Shaheen has been going insane in torneys this game
@@Sidzz01 You realise you're posting this on a video from a tourney? He still has bottom 5 play rate. I was exaggerating with 'no one is playing him', but he isn't dominating yet.
What a grand finals amazing tekken from both, am getting his long coming redemption and arslan proving he’s not washed can’t believe people actually thought he will struggle a lot
Trizzy woke Arsalan up, guy was not believing in himself and was struggling hard. Couldn't imagine him making Top 8, let alone the Grand Finals and then even taking it so close to a reset against that unstoppable Shaheen of AK. More from exciting tournaments to come!
GOOD ASS TEKKEN!!!!!!!! MY GOOD NESS THAT WAS INSANE!!!! AK WENT OFF!!!!! The fact that it ended on fallen destiny with the LIT final round music made it all the more INSANE!
I think there's a more sinister reason than AK being the underdog. Maybe it's because Arslan is Muslim so the crowd wanted him to lose? There probably was a lot of pro-Israel guys in there.
Getting rid of infinite stages was a really great idea, seeing most players picking those stages over and over again to escape walls back in T7 got real ridiculous. Yakushima and Coliseum might as well act as infinite stages but at least they got walls
My fellow Filipino!!! Congrats AK! Let the whole world know Philippines Tekken is here! So glad he got the win instead of Arslan getting the reset. If Arslan got the reset, i think he would have beat AK. Arslan still dangerous and i know he’s gonna win some major tournaments this year. AK will be back too!!!
Omg Arslan was struggling hard in this game and we were not expecting him to go so close to winning a major. Just few days ago he hadn’t solved his character crises and just picked up Nina and lost in Baaz gauntlet. This loser run and performance is just so typical of Arslan, however, the phase he was in, expectations were not that high, but this is just absolutely incredible. The dude is a masterclass!
Wow! For years now. Finally the result of effort, determination, and discipline is a title of being Combo Breaker Champion! Congratulations AK. I always watch you personally every REV in Philippines!
I got goosebumbs watching the last round lol. The backgrounds noise, hype comments, aggresiveness of players and the thunder and high waves in the scene make it so aesthetically beautiful.
I've been waiting for this for so long. So many times AK seemed extremely strong and looks able to win international tournaments but always had trouble closing it out. Nailed it finally. To do it against Arslan Ash is amazing. Looking forward to more wins and putting Philippines on the map!
It's surprising that AK expression doesn't change when he plays the game. Congratulations on your victory! It's surprising that we have never lost in TWT 2024.
AK from the Philippines, the fair winner of the Combo Breaker 2024. I remember that 11 years ago he participated in the Global Championship organized in Asia, where the best from the Asian continent participated in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. He gave a tough fight to JDCR, the veteran champion of that time. Well earned AK, now not only Korea, Japan or Pakistan will have the eyes of the world, but also the Philippines 💪🏻
Been a Fan of AK since i saw his Highlights Tekken Tag 2 Run in Japan 2013.And now I can't believe he's a Combo Breaker Champion now feels like Tomorrow ❤🥹 Congratulations AK Champion Kana Ngayon Proudly PH Fan Here 🇵🇭
He just wants to win big in the new game. He’ll be restless until he places first in tekken 8 in a masters or masters plus event. It’s a matter of self belief that he’s looking to restore that he wasn’t just the best in one edition of tekken
@@Fereshtey i think what's really unfortunate is that he probably could've done that if he had been in the spotlight during Tekken 6 or even Tag 2 but nope, he got dealt with this whole new shift that Tekken 8 has taken
Seeing Arslan get to the finals after how much he struggled to pick up T8 initially was amazing. He’s gonna start picking up trophies on this game very soon🔥
People have no idea how hard those SS Cancel Kicks are. Yes. He dropped them. Its going to happen lol. I don't even try them. AK is Amazing Man. He had the whole Shaheen Bag on display.
YEEEEES!!! LET'S GOOOOO!!! So happy for AK. I've been watching his performance in every tournament he plays. So many heartbreaks and now, to see him stand at the top of the Tekken world is so amazing. A well deserved championship. Amazing, simply amazing.
Congrats to AK for finally overcoming the curse of second place, Although Arslan is getting back to his best, this game hasn't been out for a long time and Arslan Is Already starting to adapt, I can't imagine how good he will be a year later, wow SCARY Arslan the GOAT
@@AbdullahAbrar-sc1pw of course it is about the character. This is a video game which has been out for 3 months and is plagued with balance issues, hence dudes like Farzeen can spam Victor's 3 moves akin to any red rank and completely obliterate legacy players like Knee. And yes, Ash will just switch to whichever is the strongest at the moment as he has zero character loyalty, but I think it won't work for him just like it didn't work this time.
