I tried some other titles including GTAV, Bioshock Infinite etc but they did not fair very well so i left them out. Any other game i should try out? let me know!
Still rocking the GTX-970 in 2019. Watching this video due to a 4k monitor upgrade. Don't feel any need to upgrade as all my favourite games run smoothly!
Great vid, I think what a lot of people might not think about is that if these great framerates can be had at 4k then anyone looking for a perfect locked 60fps can simply play in 1440p instead. 1440p looks great as well and is not that big of a downgrade. Sidenote, all 3 of the Dead Space titles run in 4k at a locked 60fps max settings with no issue on a gtx 970, same goes for Castlevania Lords of Shadow and I believe the second LoS game as well.
Nice I'll get me the 24 inch asus freesync 4k ips monitor this winter so I wont have to enable most of the aa settings to keep good fps on it for watch dogs 2 and other titles. Thanks for the video. :)
Great video, not everyone wants to just see review after review of the most recent titles... There are a lot of us who enjoy playing older games with newer hardware for the thrill of no lag, etc... I think it's a bit of a stretch for a 970 to do 4k, but hey the AMD HD 7990 still holds solid grounds too! (hint for a review...). Thank you for the proper vintage aspect!
Skyrim uses barely 10 % of your CPU, 50 % of your GPU and runs with 45-60 fps with horrible frame pacing - that is the reason for the pointless remaster, otherwise great video showing off same of the best titles on a gpu which will certainly be able to run the all games in next 3-4 year if not more. A video on newer title in 1440p will also be interesting.
Am I the only one who thinks older games actually look worse at 4K? On 1080p and less the 'old textures and effects were somewhat masked... but now you can see their none-detailledness in all its glory. Or something ;p
it is not worth in my opinion.i think i go to 1080p 144hz gaming until there is a graphics card that can handle actual game 4k 60fps at least high settings^^
I can tell you it wont run very well. Reason is i used to run SLI GTX-970s with 3 1080p displays and it would drop frames. I cant see a single 970 doing 4k more than 30-40fps
