I just got the wired one during Black Friday for $13. It's cute & super affordable for a game controller. I played Catherine Classic on Steam & it works just fine for it.
I'm so glad I was able to get one of these. Picked up the Lilac purple one. I'm a retro gamer at heart, but I do play modern games sometimes. So this controller is actually great for my tab S7. Feels so insane that the same kind of controllers cost over $50 that do the same thing, but with better features. I'm just glad I was able to finally grab one.
Nice review, I might have to get one of these. I play a lot of action and fighting games and my xbox one pc controller is wearing out after 2 years, so this might be perfect. plus, I'm starting to get back into retro games. ps1, ps2, snes, etc. Modern gaming just isn't it for me at the moment.
The build is really solid for this price. Ergonomically it could be better - quite bulky in the middle while it's lacking a bit at the bottom to get fully comfortable grip. Deadzone is pretty wide indeed but at least this makes analogs more resilient to drifting that may build up over time. I agree regarding the d-pad, I wouldn't use it for any retro game. Vibrations are pretty nice (maybe a bit too strong sometimes). The most notable thing is that RS and LS feel really nice and soft, which is pretty unexpected of a budget controller. Despite nitpicks it's one of my favourites.
Huh, that looks a lot like an Xbox controller... and I've had my wired 360 controller attached to my PC for over a decade now, lol. This, despite the fact that I have an Xbox One and Series X and multiple newer controllers; doesn't matter. The 360 design is brilliant and has hardly changed over the years, and thus, anything hanging out in that same "design neighborhood" seems like it'd be a great controller too. If I am ever in the market for a new PC controller and can't just utilize of my Xbox controllers, I will definitely keep 8bitDo in mind because ffs, controllers have gotten _expensive._ All I *WANT* to spend on a controller is about $20; this crazy world of $60-70 default controllers (don't even get me started on "Elite" or "Pro" controllers) is awful. Like, you can buy games for that much money; why would anyone spend more than $20 on.a controller if they didn't need to?
Yeah, I can't believe how expensive some of these controllers are getting. (even over $100 in some cases) I also love the 360 controller. It might be my all-time favorite.
I got this controller for few weeks and i still cant connect it to my laptop "aspire a715-42g" so i bought a adapter cable so i can try it on my phone but sadly doesnt works too. I dont know if im doing wrong or sum, maybe yall can help me here. ❤❤❤
Maybe check for driver updates? 8bitdo also has a firmware update tool for their controllers. You can find it at support.8bitdo.com/firmware-updater.html
