In this video I present one way to do a best fit alignment in PC-DMIS, hope it helps you :) If you want to support my content you can donate here : Paypal: paypal.me/xyza... Revolut : LT48 3250 0545 1190 2453
I suggest that you use the Vector least squares method when alignment is used with surface points. With that you use the advantage on the CAD surface vector and the CMM machine. With elements with a center point use the standard Least squares method (circles, slots, spheres, uncompensated points). If you use a portable device like an arm or tracker, some other things has to be done with best fit to make it work flawlessly when using CAD. From a PC-DMIS user since 1998.
how to do alignment with 321 when three planes are not perpendicular to each other. For that datum target points defined 3 points for primary, 2 points for secondary and 1 point for tertiary. ? thank you
How to check symmetry in pcdmis? I have measured two parallel planes then constructed mid plane but the result is showing zero. I would like to know how to measure in pcdmis.
@xyzarchitect I made one cylinder XY origin which is center of the part. Then I have measured two parallel planes which is symmetrical to y axis. Then I constructed mid plane. I selected mid plane and cylinder to check the symmetry, the result is zero
@@xyzarchitect Sir actually I've color printer and all dimensions are same like Nominal, Actual, Tol, deviation and out off tolerance so I want only out off tolerance dimensions is Highlight with bigger fonts so how can we do that, bcoz I already saw video at pcdmis official Chanel about this. Thank you
