PC - Donkey Kong Country 4: The Kong's Return Demo 100% - 103% (9% - 13%) SpeedRun in  

Being a story continuity nut, I must say that this is a very appropriate game sequel. Fan-made or not, the title: 'DONKEY KONG COUNTRY 4: THE KONG'S RETURN', featuring all four Kong buddies, Donkey, Diddy, Dixie, and Kiddie, as playable characters is very believable. Even if it's not 'official', it's showing the obvious... after beating the KAOS machine, the Kongs most definitely returned to their jungle home, safe and sound. Whether an unofficial storyline was ever established or not, nevertheless, a story never escapes my eyes: My interpretation of the game's plot is that, since there seems to be no K. Rool to stop this go-round, and no bananas or Kongs were kidnapped, Donkey, Diddy, Dixie, and Kiddy are just going on a nice adventure because they want to... not to save or retrieve something, for once. They're all free, and they're just wanting to enjoy each other's company. Looking at just the title screen, and the way they've got their arms around each other and smiling, makes me think that they all just decided to have a slamming jungle bash and go exploring together. At least... that's my interpretation of 'Donkey Kong Country 4'. Very impressive game, in my opinion. It does a good job of maintaining the spirit of the series, and the characters are doing just what you'd expect them to do. Thumbs up!

To be honest, creating a mine cart in MMF2 is pretty darn difficult. It takes enormous skill to get something that even works. The difficulty is in the details. I wish I had more time to work on my own game engine - it would make this game 1000 times better. Perhaps I'll get it done soon enough to be of some use to Kalango. :)

The third level took WAYYYYY too long for me. Also I found so many glitches, too. God game overall, can't wait for full release.

At first I felt stupid for never having heard of this game. Then I realized it was fan made.

the controls dont work for me in this demo. how can i get my controllers to work? got the standard x360 pad. control options dont work (the exe in the folder). i can only press the directions in the menu but cant start.

I'm confused. I downloaded and am playing this DKC4 game from Necrotoad/Kalango , and the levels are totally different? Are there different versions to download?

Cabe destacar que si David wise junto a sus dos colegas productores musicales agregaran la musica a este nuevo donkey kong seria bestial ya que ellos son los creadores de tales bellas melodías del 1,2 y 3.

Why do they show the animation for taking damage when you press select to switch Kongs? It looks so stupid.

It would've been awesome if every time you beat a level with Donkey Kong he pulls out a trumpet and plays the level beat music from the first game.

The music really doesn't match the magic of David Wise or Eveline Novakovic's music in my opinion, nor does it complement the levels as perfectly, though that's understandable considering that they're basically music gods. The songs themselves are still pretty good. I still gotta say that this an impressive fan game, especially with how it has new music and new graphics, and the new graphics do capture the DKC CGI look well.

Anyone got a file format that can work on the Mini SNES? .exe's wont work a .smc should work
