2 of my 4 PC Engines have the exact same issue... (3 were included with Interface Units and CD-Roms dirt cheap until getting one that worked; I don't just buy consoles knowing they are junk!) Your video gives me the confidence to tinker in them and see if I can fix them for the experience. Thanks in advance for the inspiration!
Nice work! Restoring the card connector like that seemed fiddly and a giant pain in the butt. Good to see it done, though, instead of a bunch of bodge wires.
@@FeliciaByNature oh it was an absolute nightmare! 😂 It took about an hour and a half to get the six bent resistor legs in place and clean them up to a reasonable standard. It's such a good console, it's a bit sad it never came to Australia but I'm very happy to have one now. 😁
